January 6, 201312 yr I'm surprised Feel the Love got that high, but it should've done even better imo!! I hope Somebody That I Used to Know wins out of the ones left now (although I don't think it will).
January 6, 201312 yr - Ne-Yo being so low and the hate 'Let Me Love You' has received disgusts me. It's such a tune! It's excellent and I'm still not bored of it. - 'How We Do (Party)' hate is also, disgusting. - 'Twilight' finishing in roughly the position I would have predicted it. It deserved better, but I can see why people would find it "weak". - 'Bom Bom' should swap places with Ne-Yo. Absolutely TERRIBLE. In fact, I hate it more than 'Somebody That I Used to Know' (which is just as vile) but that needed my -10 more... - 'The Power Of Dull' should have finished outside the top 20. - 'R.I.P.' is fantastic. So catchy! - Wow at Robbie finish in a respectable position! I thought it had more haters on here. It's very catchy though and is in about the right position. Labrinth surprisingly low though! I'd have put money on that being an easy top 10 finisher! (Top 5 potential!) - 'Domino' finishing in a decent enough position too! I thought overplay might have hindered it a little, but it was once a great song. - Could never get into 'Hot Right Now', sadly. It's good, but not that good. Rita's other two #1's are better imo and should have finished higher. - 'Troublemaker' still sound excellent. About the position I'd have expected for it, although I'd place it higher personally. - 'Gangnam Style' I thought could have been higher (low top 10 at least). A good song, novelty keeps wearing thin on me, but then I love it again. So random. - 'Call My Name' does what 'Something New' tried to do and did it so much better (generic, catchy dance-pop). So good! - 'Wings' should have finished top 10! Gutted it couldn't make it all the way. How I'd want the rest of the top 10 to look: Rudimental - Feel The Love Carly Rae Jepsen - Call Me Maybe Swedish House Mafia - Don't You Worry Child Rihanna - Diamonds fun. - We Are Young David Guetta - Titanium Coldplay - Paradise Calvin Harris - Sweet Nothing Florence + The Machine - Spectrum Gotye - Somebody That I Used To Know God yes at those two incredible dance songs finishing together! Should have both been top 5, but we can't have everything :P Gotye has this won I think though, unfortunately. EDIT: Actually 'Titanium' will give it a good run for it's money! Not sure if 'Titanium' got any -10's ... but I can see it getting less "top votes" than STIUTK, though. Hmm...
January 6, 201312 yr Wow, Carly being as low as 4th is a big shock :o Brilliant to see Rudimental and SHM so high (although thought the latter could have possibly been top 3 behind Gotye and Carly - pretty far out on that ) and also Florence in the top 3! I've underestimated 'Titanium', thought the memory of it was a little bit faded for it to be this high (I know the same would apply to Gotye but I never really thought about age affecting him). Not complaining though.
January 6, 201312 yr :( :cheer: And I agree with Jonjo! Why does no one apart from me and him like Let Me Love You?! :(
January 6, 201312 yr Author 3rd Florence + The Machine - "Spectrum (Say My Name)" // 5600PTS iC-_lVzdiFE Just 20pts ahead of Carly to take home the bronze. Never understood the fuss about this, her worst single and the Zedd track is much better too. So now it just comes down to Gotye and his woman Kimbra in the red corner vs. David Guetta and his woman Sia in the blue corner.
January 6, 201312 yr Dear god please let Gotye win this. "Titanium" is good compared to his other singles but nothing compared to what Calvin's done this year.
January 6, 201312 yr Gotye for the win :cheer: I think the less offensive and divisive Titanium will do it though (still a worthy winner imo).
January 6, 201312 yr I expected Titanium and Spectrum to be the top 2, but I was pretty close anyway I guess lol. Come on Gotye!!! :cheer:
January 6, 201312 yr Gotye >>>>>> Guetta here. Titanium is nice enough (most because of Sia) but i think it's a tad overrated by some YAY for Spectrum, Don't You Worry Child and Feel The Love
January 6, 201312 yr Author Perhaps I should hold out even longer then. :D 2nd David Guetta (feat. Sia) - "Titanium" // 5880PTS JRfuAukYTKg A great track and a nice change from David Guetta's usual formula even though it isn't my favourite song on "Nothing But The Beat" by any means. 1st Gotye (feat. Kimbra) - "Somebody That I Used To Know" // 6150PTS 8UVNT4wvIGY In my bottom 5 least favourite #1s of the year, I don't really know what everyone sees in it. I like the song but Gotye's vocals bore me to tears. David got a couple more positive voters than Gotye (as did Carly, actually), but he obviously had more of the higher marks. It was close at times but it was always looking like a Gotye win and I guess it is suitable with it being the best-selling song of the year as well.
January 6, 201312 yr Woooop :cheer: Fully deserved, especially as it's done so well after getting to #1 so early last year!
January 6, 201312 yr PERFECT top 2. Both of them fully deserving of all the praise they get, and Florence making it top 3 is pleasing too.
