I didn't realise Bon Jovi are within touching distance of the top 10, single sales are going to be very low this week, Bon Jovi are hardly single sellers. I'll be very surprised if Will and Brit finish at the end of the week on sales of 65k or even less, over 70k is a bit pushing it, I think, since sales for last week is around 67.6k

Gabrielle Aplin has released an amazing new promotional single from her upcoming album 'English Rain' which is released in April. :cheer:

1117. :ne: Gabrielle Aplin - Salvation

Edit: now  1086! :D

This week last year, the #10 sold ~22k and Bon Jovi's last successful single sold 18k at #5 in 2006. With sales today obviously being a lot higher than 2006 and presuming Because We Can does stick around, they could be looking at a Top 15 debut. However it's to be expected that it does drop so probably #21/#22 entry on Sunday.

So delighted with how Bon Jovi are performing so far, i really didnt expect this, their last few singles have flopped, i know they are now only an album selling band so this success is lovely, i know its likely it will drop as the fans will have rushed out to buy it, i doubt this will give them a 20th top 10 single but hopefully it will give them their 39th top 40 hit.

Silly question time but is there any major significance with Bon Jovi's Because We Can world tour? I.e. is this their final ever tour because the clip on bonjovi's YouTube channel I watched before looks like it's some Greatest Hits tour rather than touring a new album.

Weird though because they released Crossroads as a Greatest Hits album in 1994 (or 1995?) and they've only had a couple of top 10 hits in the UK since so a new greatest hits album now seems pointless to me. Just reissue 'Crossroads' with 'It's My Life' as a bonus track. :D

Didn't realise that Bon Jovi still had that much of a hardcore fanbase to chart so highly so quickly - I'm sure it will fade away quite quickly however it should beat the peak of their last 2 lead singles - 2007's [You Want To] Make A Memory #33, and 2009's We Weren't Born To Follow #25

They had another Greatest Hits out in 2010 too, so another would be even more daft! :P

A quick look on Wiki tells me they have a studio album called What About Now out in March.

Just listened to this Bon Jovi song and downloaded it based on the 1:30 clip, actually instantly catchy, sounds like their best song in years! I'm hardly a fan but it's impressive that fanbase sales can get them this high on iTunes! Also downloaded the new Kimberley Walsh single, which I also only found out about a few hours ago!

 Was just reading some posts on the Bon Jovi forum who are all slating the song and saying its the worst thing they have ever done etc, - However it seems like they are all loyal enough to download it straight away though!

As a big Bon Jovi fan and have been for years, i like the new song, its not their best or even near it but it is far from their worst either.
Bon Jovi's new album is a brand new studio album, their last release was a greatest hits in 2010, which i didnt think it would do great, it was kept of number 1 by Cheryl Cole but to date has sold almost 700,000 which is great considering how successful crossroads the best of was.

Hope Bon Jovi can manage Top 40 at least this week, it would be nice to see them claim their 39th Top 40 hit. The songs pretty good too. Might download it tomorrow. It's not available on Amazon until tomorrow (8th Jan), which I find quite strange, but I think Amazon are always slower with new songs than itunes.

With it climbing all evening and currently number 11 i cant see it missing the top 40. I would love for their new album to make number 1, out of their last 7 albums 6 of them made number 2 and a rehashed greatest such (this left feels right made number 4) before that they had 5 consecutive number 1 albums so i hope the new one makes it, with the sales climate low and bon jovi having loyal fanbase who will purchase asap it could may well see them get that 6th number 1 album.

 200 - Macklemore/Ryan Lewis - Thrift Shop

 172 - JLS - Hold Me Down

 167 - Taio Cruz - Fast Car [This charted at #180 a few weeks ago and seems to be hanging around on iTunes - Has climbed from the #190 mark earlier today]

 177 - Alt-J - Matilda  One of their standout tracks from the album, Hopefully with the lack of new releases this could climb steadily over the coming days.

Drinking From The Bottle  #9 - safe should Bon Jovi decide to enter the top 10 (& #58)

Kiss You  #15

Clique  #23

Just One Last Time  #38

83. Animal

103. It's Time (Glee Cast Version)

185. Learn To Love Again

 21. Clique - Kanye West, JAY Z & Big Sean

From what I gather Nick Grimshaw is continuing to hype his 'Clique' parody all the way until Friday so this looks very likely to return to the top 40 now :cheer: 'Niggas In Paris' currently the song holding it out of the top 20!

Jake Bugg at #22 with 'Lightning Bolt' and #31 with 'Two Fingers'. I really dislike 'Lightning Bolt' so it'd be great if 'Two Fingers' can re-enter the top 40 along with it. Glad to see him having such success anyway.

'Just One Last Time' has recovered well since the gift card effect pushed it back down, could still go top 40. I wouldn't be surprised if Guetta moves onto 'Play Hard' very quickly now though, assuming he is going to release that as a single.

 64. Bassline Junkie - Dizzee Rascal

I assume this isn't a 'proper' single from him since it hasn't even been playlisted on Radio 1

 85. Magnetic Eyes (Radio Edit) - Matrix & Futurebound

Wonder why this has taken so long to take off on iTunes?

James is holding up extremely well considering it's his fifth week and it's the XF winner's single, I expected him to have gone into freefall by now.

She Wolf is about to be released in the US I think, so Play Hard will probably be released after that song is over, probably around April time or something I'd guess.

And Dizzee wouldn't release a song like Bassline Junkie as a single, at least not today. I hope he does another song with Chase & Status or DJ Fresh for his comeback single. Wiley had the top comment on the music video a while ago!
