Remember the Billboard Hot 100 also conveniently changed its rule about re-entries of old songs just in time to let Whitney rechart after her death (but they didn't do that for MJ oddly). The OCC has changed its rules at the last minute at least once before regarding Amy Winehouse whose standard and deluxe versions of 'Back To Black' were combined midweek the week it returned to #1 after her death, when they had previously always been separated and IIRC even were in the first mids. So I think it's very possible they'll change this rule just in time for Bowie especially if he genuinely outsells will.i.am although that seems unlikely anyway.

I've checked out the 'rules' on the OCC website and I'm pretty confident it won't chart.

There wouldn't be much useful info from such a list anyway - the #1000 would sell only a small fraction of 1% of the #1 anyway.

Wow, what a climb for Just One Last Time (currently #21)! :o Perhaps this can be a decent sized hit after all!
