How did Bruno get so high, so fast?! :o

Because he's Bruno? :P

Fall Out Boy seem to have progressed at an almost identical speed in the USA as in the UK, they were #10 then #5 then #3 then #2 at roughly the same time (and I doubt they'll get #1 in either as Macklemore is too far ahead). Looking on their Wiki discography page they've actually had oddly similar UK/US peaks with a lot of their singles:

- 'Sugar, We're Goin Down' #8 in both

- 'Dance, Dance' #8 UK, #9 US

- 'This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race' #2 in both

- 'Thnks Fr Th Mmrs' #11 US, #12 UK

- 'Beat It' #19 US, #21 UK

- 'America's Suitehearts' #76 UK, #78 US

Little Mix are already at #141 on US iTunes with 'Wings'! They just put a tweet out saying it's now available, about 1 hour ago.

96. Little Mix - Wings

now up to #74

I wonder how the Saturdays must be feeling

Go on Little Mix! Really finding it quite hilarious how Little Mix are significantly outperforming The Saturdays despite doing far less (if any) promo. Happy about it as well though. 'Wings' is a great song whereas 'What About Us' is just decent. I get the feeling The Sats would have done a lot better if they'd just released 'Higher', despite how old that is now. Don't think they ever had a chance of smashing no matter what they released though. They've actually done a lot better than I'd have ever predicted.

'Wings' to #67, by the way.

Had a little :o when I saw 'R.I.P. (feat.' in the top 40 but alas, it's Young Jeezy feat. 2 Chainz not Rita Ora feat. Tinie Tempah. to #39.

up to 51 now... I can't believe Little Mix outperformed the Saturdays with zero promotion, except the fact that they're backed by Simon Cowell of course which makes all the difference..

I think many people may know Little Mix, thanks to Perrie and Zayn relationship, and last Zayn action give Perrie in every single american magazine a lot of promotion ;)

Yeah, sometimes the gift of Tumblr/YouTube/Twitter can help more than actual promotion. One Direction have a massive worldwide fanbase made up of teenage girls who will automatically know of Perrie and Little Mix and either love them or hate them.

'Wings' falling already - back down to #55. Not gonna get near the Hot 100 yet, but it's still a strong start. Vaguely interesting other positions:

123. Emeli Sandé - Next to Me

186. Skylar Grey - C’mon Let Me Ride (feat. Eminem)

543. Marina and The Diamonds - How to Be a Heartbreaker

758. The Saturdays - What About Us

I don't think it'll be too long before we see Emeli top 100, I'll say a fortnight at most. I'm really beginning to think Skylar's sell-out single has failed her, though.

'Sweet Nothing' is up to #10 on the Hot 100 this week :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: No idea how it's managed it as it's #10 on streaming, #15 on airplay and outside the top 10 on sales which doesn't seem to quite add up to top 10 overall, but I won't question Billboard's calculations here :P So so happy to see Calvin get a top 10 as the lead artist and Florence also getting her first top 10. With a fantastic song as well.

And according to the Billboard website, with 'Don't You Worry Child' also at #6 it's the first time ever that there have been two dance songs in the same top 10 :o

? Are they using a ridiculously specific definition of the term "dance" just to have something interesting to write? Even off the top of my head I'm pretty sure 'Party Rock Anthem' and 'Sexy And I Know It' were top 10 during gift card week 2011.

I think they're saying "dance" meaning two songs where the lead artists are EDM producers. There's probably been 6 or more in the top 10 at some point before if you count all the songs by a singer or rapper that are EDM.

Little Mix are #83 in the pop airplay chart (and coincidentally Cover Drive are #84 with their Far East Movement collab). I can see both those songs doing well in the rhythmic airplay chart too.
