So is Pour it Up the "official" next Rihanna single in the US? Or is Stay going to be released simultaneously?

'Stay' is the official single. 'Pour It Up' is just for Urban radios for now, I believe. (A bit like how 'Man Down' was released just for Urban radio)
Ugh. I know :( Shame it's with one of her best singles too!

I really don't know what she can release next to recover this era either. My personal choice would be Last Goodbye (bonus track!?!? :drama:)

SUPERNATURAL!

'Stay' is #1 :o

Fantastic

So pleased for her. Hopefully ANOTHER number 1 for her in the future

Baauer now higher in the USA than the UK (#4 to be precise), though he has a second version top 30 on UK iTunes as well. Top 20 on worldwide Kworb, seems to be dominating most in the UK and USA and for some reason the Netherlands but doing decently elsewhere as well.

Just seen that 'I Will Wait' has a second version at #48, hopefully that should help it get at least top 5 on Digital Songs this week (top version is now down to #8).

The 'A' in 'The A Team' has been re-capitalised - huzzah for common sense!

I really don't get the fuss with C'mon. It's actually her worst single to my ears :( I can't see how it's failed though, it's very commercial and the fact it's Ke$ha should have it doing better at this stage.

Completely agree. I loved all of Ke$ha's singles from the Animal/Cannibal era but felt so-so towards Die Young and this new one is even worse :/

Olly's doing so well!

 20. Olly Murs - Troublemaker (feat. Flo Rida)

 99. Icona Pop - I Love It (feat. Charli XCX)

 180. Krewella - Alive

Hopefully all of these will become big hits!

Does Baauer have a chance of making the US Billboard #1? After PSY was denied topping the chart it makes me wonder if airplay/streaming will go against 'Harlem Shake' too despite it clearly becoming the new phenomenon around the world.
Makes me feel so angry abuot the saturdays seriously... I never like girlbands... but since I heard HIGHER I just loved those girls... I bought the digital single of WAU feat. Sean Paul of the Remixes EP on Mexico's iTunes... and I bought the EP CTS in the States (signed by the girls) and I was fraking happy about it being around the 115 / 140 on USA iTunes and now knowing it's down and the show is flopping hard... is so SAD :C

If Gangnam style couldn't make #1 I don't think this will either :( It's the least radio friendly song in the top 10 and airplay will go against it. Maroon 5 stopping Psy from going to #1 because of airplay is still unforgivable <_<

It was absolutely unforgivable... One More Night succeeded on airplay alone; it was not a big seller, not a popular song by most measures and not well liked generally. To those who rightfully think songs take forever to blow up in the US -- Harlem Shake went from uncharted to #1 on iTunes in less than 9 days. The problem with the morons at Billboard is their insistance on including airplay even in light of the pathetic role radio airplay now plays. NO ONE LISTENS TO THE RADIO ANYMORE, IDIOTS. NO ONE.

One More Night was a huge streaming hit at least (if the chart was just downloads and airplay like it used to be, Gangnam Style would've got some weeks at #1).

If you want to complain about airplay in the charts, then songs like Where Have You Been, Let Me Love You and Pound the Alarm are worse, since they were flops on both streaming AND downloads, and only got their chart success because of airplay.

Harlem Shake won't get much airplay on pop radio. Lots of popular artists have been releasing songs with similar beats in the past couple of years, and pop radio always refuse to play them, even though some of them have been really big hits.

NO ONE LISTENS TO THE RADIO ANYMORE, IDIOTS. NO ONE.

If no one listens to the radio, then it'll stop counting for the Hot 100 by itself. Have you seen the formula? They simply get the audience impressions and multiply it. So if people stopped listening to the radio, the audience impressions would get really small and they'd not count for much. At the moment hundreds of millions of people listen to the radio, so it counts for a lot.

In 2004 for example, sales became pretty much irrelevent in the Hot 100 because people weren't buying physical singles anymore, meaning the chart became mainly airplay. So if people stopped listening to the radio, a similar thing would happen, the chart would just become mainly streaming and downloads.

As streaming gains in popularity over the next few years, it'll get more "important" in the Hot 100 without Billboard having to change their formula, because again, it's just a multiplier they use.

I have no problem with Maroon 5 staying at #1 during Gangnam Style's "reign", cause it meant we had only one shit #1 instead of two. :kink:

Wasn't sure the USA would even get 'One Way Or Another (Teenage Kicks)', IIRC it didn't have a pre-order. Pleased to see them still not giving the USA their singles before the UK, I hate when British artists do that.

What's caused the sudden boost to the top 20 for Olly? (#19 now). Gwon Olly :D Would love to see 'Troublemaker' make the top 10 soon.
