I have 4 or 5 great options, but I'll have to hurry up and make a decision and get to confirmation right as it opens literally, I think all bar one of them will have other interest!

I have a song - it certainly sounds like it do well, I know I had similar confidence with Anna Sun but this certainly isn't as well known and has FEMALE VOCALS OMG. Indeed, my only worry is that someone else may be after it, I can't imagine something like this would've fell under the radar completely on here!

Not really sure what I'm going with quite yet, going with the gooddelta tactic of just entering my favourite unknown song to the contest when confirmation opens. Thankfully there are quite a number of good songs floating around (well we have had two months!) so even if I end up with my 4th or 5th option I'll still be happy!

We'll try and be a bit faster with the vetoes (if there are any) this time. It's easier when a mod/global mod is hosting because they can edit the list quickly and can see all the discussions going on, so they (and we) don't have to wait for PMs etc. L was the first time in a while where we didn't have a single veto and we were really happy with that, so I just *hope* we won't have to veto anything in the first contest of the year. Also, we tested something late last year which worked quite well and we'll probably do it again. We basically gave the host the reasons for the vetoes (again, if there are any) so they could send them on to the confirmer (is that even a word?) straightaway, so it doesn't look like we just said NO and threw it back at you. I think it's better that way because it's more engaging and transparent and it means you don't have to wait around wondering why it was vetoed.

 

I know the break has felt like an age but remember that you can always PM us with queries/suggestions/complaints (:o) should the need arise. We don't bite (unless provoked :D), so please never hesitate to contact us. I know previous debates about the contest have been quite heated but we do listen to what you have to say (it's your contest, after all!), so we're here for all y'all. <3

Is entering a song by a MAN (more specifically an urban one) setting me up to fail before it even begins? I just want to send something more me as it's my debut :unsure:
