Well that was a mixed bag as usual. I suppose the lack of any big winners lets the media concentrate on the usual suspects - Mumfords came frustratingly close to losing everything, and I had a sneaking feeling Alt-J were going to cause an upset at the end. Muse, JT and Taylor were all pretty good.
RED: Who I think.

BLUE: Who I want.

PURPLE: BOTH.

British Male Solo Artist

Ben Howard

Calvin Harris

Olly Murs

Plan B

Richard Hawley

NOTE: I think this is where the "upset" will occur. Ben will walk away with this I reckon.

British Female Solo Artist

Amy Winehouse

Bat For Lashes

Emeli Sande

Jessie Ware

Paloma Faith

NOTE: Surely they're not going to snub her?

British Breakthrough Act

Alt-J

Ben Howard

Jake Bugg

Jessie Ware

Rita Ora

NOTE: POOR. BRAVE. RITA. I was stuck between Jake and Ben for this one. But just 'coz he's from Nottingham, I'm going with Jake :P

British Group

Alt-J

Mumford & Sons

Muse

One Direction

The XX

NOTE: The XX are the underdogs. I think they'll be the ones to win if Mumford don't...

British Live Act

Coldplay

Mumford & Sons

Muse

The Rolling Stones

The Vaccines

NOTE: Any of these, bar The Vaccines, could realistically win.

British Single

Adele - "Skyfall"

Alex Clare - "Too Close"

Coldplay ft. Rihanna - "Princess of China"

DJ Fresh ft. Rita Ora - "Hot Right Now"

Emeli Sandé - "Next to Me"

Florence + the Machine - "Spectrum"

James Arthur - "Impossible"

Jessie J - "Domino"

Labrinth ft. Emeli Sandé - "Beneath Your Beautiful"

Olly Murs ft. Flo Rida - "Troublemaker"

Rita Ora ft. Tinie Tempah - "R.I.P."

Rizzle Kicks - "Mama Do the Hump"

Robbie Williams - "Candy"

Rudimental ft. John Newman - "Feel the Love"

Stooshe - "Black Heart"

NOTE: I get the feeling Adele will get this. But like I said earlier, personal opinions of the tracks to one side, I think it's the most perfect list we could possibly get.

MasterCard British Album

Alt-J - An Awesome Wave

Emeli Sandé - Our Version of Events

Mumford & Sons - Babel

Paloma Faith - Fall to Grace

Plan B - iLL Manors

NOTE: NuBrits Sweetheart, will win this. Mumford & Sons deserve it too. Although any of them 5 could win...

International Male Solo Artist

Bruce Springsteen

Frank Ocean

Gotye

Jack White

Michael Bublé

NOTE: I'd have thought this would be an easy victory for Frank...

International Female Solo Artist

Alicia Keys

Cat Power

Lana Del Rey

Rihanna

Taylor Swift

NOTE: Could go to either LDR, Rihanna or Taylor. But I'm going to remain optimistic and say RiRi will win, again.

International Group

Alabama Shakes

The Black Keys

fun.

The Killers

The Script

NOTE: Between The Black Keys & fun., the others don't stand a chance.

EDIT: Ohhhh which are the fan voted ones? That could be the deciding point to a few of these. I know the British Single is...

Woo! (?) I got just 3 (British Breakthrough, Live Act & International Female) wrong (but even then, the winners were the closest competitors to who I think would win!). So boring and predictable.

But I LOVED Justin's performance  (Also Mumford's, Taylor and Ben Howard)

Well, apart from a few sane people, this was honestly one of the worst threads I've ever read through.
Adele would have deserved it had it been awarded for 2011, One Direction deserve it for 2012

I completely disagree. Adele has sold 9.2 million copies of 21 in 2012 after 1 year of the album release - it was the best selling album worldwide of 2012. 1D on the other hand sold about 6.5 million copies with 2 albums. Not to mention she sold 1 million sales alone in Australia (last achieved by Delta Goodrem in 2003) and that she also had the best selling album in 2012 in the US.

Seeing these sales, I don't know how can anyone still think 1D deserved to win. Adele is the definition of global success.

Global Success? The Brits are usually a joke but this is plumbing new depths.
I'm sure Adele won't be crying over an invented award to keep Cowell and the teeny boppers happy. The award won't exist next year. A bit like the One year Rock Award given to the Darkness.

I'm not a huge fan of Ben Howard or Frank Ocean but I was delighted that they wont awards instead of the predictable huge selling artists getting them.

Hopefully not Corden to host next year. For me he wasn't bad but just too try hard. I also feel he's a bit cheesy. However I don't wqnt Chris Evans either. He is annoying.

The brits were very predictable I thought and very middle of the road. Muse, Mumford were the best performances with 1D and sadly Robbie being very poor. Justin wasn't that good either Imo.

Agree on some but not others. Thought JT was best on, closely followed by Muse. The only good thing about Robbie I can say is he's lost some weight. I'm getting used to dire performances from him and he never disappoints. as for 1d not an ounce of singing talent between them and Skipping around and shouting doesn't count as stage presence or charisma in my book. I can see Mumford and Sons appeal to many but they are not for me.

I knew the show would be disappointing when the nominations came out.

Robbie should have been nominated for British Male, Calvin should have won

Cat Power should not have been nominated for International Female. Madonna and Nicki Minaj both had No.1 albums last year, one of them should have been nominated instead.

Little Mix should have been at least nominated for British Single. And they should have made that category a phone vote!

Taylor, Muse and Mumford and Sons all performed well last night. Justin did too, but I would have preferred him sing Suit and Tie, with Jay-Z. Emeli and 1D were boring, Robbie was crap. Ben was ok. I had wanted performances from Jessie J, Rolling Stones and Beyonce!

James was ok, but that will be the last time he's doing it. Maybe Tess Daily next year?

Overall, it was disappointing, hopefully next year will be big with Jessie, Kylie and David Bowie

Finally, thank god Tulisa was banned from the whole thing, she would have been a big show off!

Was she :o How come?

Yeah the Global Success award was a bit odd.

Overall happy with every winner actually. All deserving winners. Great for Ben Howard especially, as the exposure will benefit him the most I'd say.

JT and Ben were my favourite performers. OneD actually performed well too, Harry, Zayn and Liam can actually sing. The other two, no.

Emeli Sande, Muse, Mumford & Sons and Taylor Swift were all really good too.

Not sure where Chris Martin was actually, but so happy Coldplay won. Can't beat them when it comes to Live music! Unreal!
Don't agree with all the stick that James Corden gets, thought he was fantastic last night and made me laugh on several occasions - the past 2 years, I've been a bit 'eh' on him, but thought he was really good this year for whatever reason.
James Corden is funny when he's at least vaguely edgy but 80% of last night was him fawning over acts he's clearly ambivalent about now. I reckon this year was his last Brits.

The One D thing with Emeli was quite funny I admit :D
