January 30, 201313 yr Ministry of Sound's Bingo Players are just ahead on the singles midweeks in their quest for a second week at No 1 with Get Up (Rattle) featuring Far East Movement. Top 40 Singles 1 Bingo Players/Far East Movement (5,7k ahead) :o 2 will.i.am & Britney Spears I reckon the gap is that narrow because Brit.I.Am had practically caught up with Bingo Players on iTunes on Sunday night. They've extended their lead since so I wouldn't be surprised to see 'Get Up (Rattle)' a good 10k in front by the end of the week. 'Thrift Shop' looking set for a massive climb up the chart this week. Next weeks #1? It looking more and more likely with each Kworb update. :D
January 30, 201313 yr Author Those 17k that was posted yesterday must be the sales for Bingo Players, I should imagine they must be on 23k to 25k today, its probably set for 55k plus for the week. Macklemore need to finish on at least 60k plus for the week, they seem to be increasing on Bingo Players on iTunes, its probably doable.
January 30, 201313 yr I would be very surprised if 'Thrift Shop' did actually sell enough to make #1 this Sunday. However, Bingo Players are a fair bit in front so Macklemore would need to get to no. 1 and have a huge lead to even get close to the sales of 'Get Up'.
January 31, 201313 yr sounds a bit sad but I feel like the proud father watching his son achieve something :D been a Biffy fan for well over a decade, seen them tour plenty of toilet circuits in the UK and I've had plenty of people turn round to me when I mention Biffy as a favourite band and say "who". Obviously this has been coming for a few years but if you said to me in 2004 when I bought Infinity Land that the band would have a No1 album in just under a decade's time, I'd have turned round and laughed at you more likely Nothing wrong with that at all :D There have been a number of times when a band I have followed for years have eventually achieved huge success
January 31, 201313 yr Great to see Rumours back in the Top 10. The re-mastered version is well worth getting as it sounds so much better.

February 1, 201313 yr Author Midweek Charts update: Return of the Mac to top five Source: MW by Paul Willams Fleetwood Mac are heading for their highest UK chart peak in more than 20 years as a re-issued version of Rumours targets a top five debut. The Rhino/Warner Bros album, whose original version came out in 1977, is showing up as a new entry at 3 in the latest midweek artist albums charts, according to the Official Charts Company. This makes it on course to give the Anglo-American band their best chart ranking in the UK since Behind The Mask reached No 1 in 1990. Ahead of Rumours, 14th Floor/Warner Bros's Biffy Clyro are gearing up for their first UK chart-topper with Opposites having sold 56,165 copies by the end of business on Thursday. Polydor's Les Miserables soundtrack drops from 1 to 2, Justin Bieber arrives at 4 with the Def Jam/Mercury-issued Believe - Acoustic and Virgin's Emeli Sande slides 2-5 with Our Version Of Events. Also likey to score a Top 10 entry on Sunday is Andrea Bocelli whose brand new Decca set Passione is new at 7 in the current midweeks, while Jools Holland & His Rhythm & Blues Orchestra's Rhino album The Golden Age Of Song could move into the Top 10 for the first time following Holland's guest appearance on Jonathan Ross's ITV1 show. It climbs 15-9 at this stage of the week with weekly sales up 57%. On singles the Ministry of Sound-issued Get Up (Rattle) by Bingo Players featuring Far East Movement is right now in position to spend a second week at No 1, but faces stiff competition from Thrift Shop by Macklemore & Lewis featuring Wanz, currently topping the Billboard Hot 100. The track, released on the Macklemore label in the UK, had moved 24-10 on the midweek chart published on Tuesday but is now up to 4. Ahead of it at present, Interscope/Polydor act will.i.am holds at 2 with Scream & Shout featuring Britney Spears as Mercury's Taylor Swift remains at 3 with I Knew You Were Trouble. February 1, 201313 yr Jessie Ware top 40 - brillant!! I don't understand how - last time I checked it was outside the top 100 on iTunes :o Wonderful news though, really hope she can hold it. CARVING MY INITIALS ON YOUR FOREHEAD :D
February 1, 201313 yr Author I don't understand how - last time I checked it was outside the top 100 on iTunes :o Wonderful news though, really hope she can hold it. CARVING MY INITIALS ON YOUR FOREHEAD :D 2 versions on iTunes, combined makes it top 40 100% and If You're Never... are the same track, title has been changed over legal issues over the use of the sample. I didn't know that, just found out myself.
February 1, 201313 yr I wonder if Macklemore can do the impossible, as their lead is increasing significantly now at #1. I thought it was Friday night last night, so was glad to know that they have two full days to try and capitalise on the low sales week this morning .

February 1, 201313 yr Author ^^ MW mid report added with the update, thanks Bingo players seem to be stable for a second week at #1 but the report says it faces stiff competition from Macklemore, so its not cut up and dry yet. I think Biffy will finish on sales of 70k, not bad for a #1 album never expected to sell that amount.
February 1, 201313 yr 110% in the Top 40!!! :D Ok, 9 months late British public - but better late than never.
February 1, 201313 yr Biffy should get around 70k which is a big improvement on Puzzle's first week of 37,346 and Only Revolutions first week of 43,113 around 13k sold on Wednesday and Thursday, although I've seen differing figures for the album's sales to Tuesday night (Kerrang has them down as selling 33,018 copies) but I'd probably believe the OCC over that. 23k sold on Wednesday/Thursday would be impressive though. The main problem will be keeping that up during the next year or so though, would expect OR is close to double platinum status if it hasn't actually broken past it by now which would mean around 600k and Warner will probably expect more from Opposites considering Puzzle was only a platinum album then again the idea of a double album might mean they aren't as bothered, I know there is a single CD out there but you miss out on some really good Biffy songs if you buy that ;)
February 1, 201313 yr 2 versions on iTunes, combined makes it top 40 100% and If You're Never... are the same track, title has been changed over legal issues over the use of the sample. I didn't know that, just found out myself. It has 3 versions, currently at 75, 88 and 143 - not surprised that that's top 40 combined, I think it'll drop out again by Sunday but great to see it there today! Woo for Macklemore + LOL at Fleetwood Mac overtaking Bieber  Wonder how high Disclosure feat. AlunaGeorge will go this week, probably at least top 30?
February 1, 201313 yr I think Biffy will finish on sales of 70k, not bad for a #1 album never expected to sell that amount. 10k more than I expected, and I thought my prediction of 60k was too generous!
