Dance enthusiast Danaelanda really won me over a number of times this year and it was 'Stay' that has stuck with me the longest out of them all. The utter charm in those beautiful vocals alongside that intense breakdown, totally a winner. One from the most recent contest, Tinnmark's brilliant cry to the youth had me reminiscing and longing for simpler times.. It achieves it's nostalgic power wonderfully <3 Former D'yermak'er #1s (2013) N DNTN have to settle for a lowly (for them) #43 - they've forever been strong in our hearts but this year they took risks at nearly every opportunity but it was of course the bhangra-infused BATALVI that won me over the most. Florina are next Lol, this sang is nice and i hope we get something similar in January with whatever they choose to enter ^_^ and finally (another former EOY #1 country for us (2014)), Ramrynia offer the utterly beautiful, cutting, heartfelt, stripped-back ballad pining for how it feels to be left out. Haunting and spell-spinding and certainly not one for Ryan's gym playlist~~

Terra Avium send us flying for the first time in the countdown, performing musical miracles with a song so stunningly beautiful and pure it sends us to places with every listen - a song perfectly matched to the country ;o I always imagine flying and soaring endless landscapes when i think of Terra A as a country and this is that in a song. Kluminican are up next with one of their slower more stripped back entries, and it's made more special perhaps for that reason! Ethanola return again with a song that always manages to come up on shuffle for me and every time it does i JAM :music: v cool tropical vibes~ Persephonia do well (;o) with Hans Solo.. wait... :unsure: the song recieved 10 points back in January and kick-started a year dominated by the Bré in yet another continuation of our one-sided love affair. And Hushkanukia round off this delightful selection. A perfect example of when pop-rock can be GOOD and it seemed you all agreed too as it stormed to victory a few months back. A wonderful winner and one that has actually, probably got much better since then as i enjoy it more now than i ever did during the contest :o

I'm not sure I've heard 'Hiding' before (the one Persephonia 2k15 entry left to investigate if this is the case) unless it was played on plug/dubtrack before and my memory of a sieve is showing.

A set now to show off the diversity of the contest :kink: We start now with Daehun who had a blinding year in 2014 but seem to have lost their footing somewhat recently :/ poor flops~ but when they're good, they're undeniably so and this was one of those moments. Cheap yes, but who cares? Hendinia next with quite a controversial one - I didn't instantly love this, the lyrics prevented me from properly warming to it, but once you get past that it's a wonderful ballad. I channelled a bit of it myself in my latest entry which reminds me of this song very much :heehee: TRIANGLEDONIA :mellow: Bringing the tropic love ~:music:~ and allowing me to show off my triangle love with no inhibitions :mellow: I love the country and all of its eccentricity and i'm hoping for more love in 2016 - if they bring the chuunes like this coming there's no reason why that won't happen :music: :mellow: Cadelicia's first entry in the countdown is the alluring, sexy, trippy dance number - they do dance better than any other country in my opinion *hides from Dan/Ethan*. And finally, not only for the song, but for the message it conveys and most of all the FILM. Taken as the short from the wondrous 'Inside Out' a beautiful, inspired choice of entry from OJNOJ. I played the song for my class one morning and they demanded I repeat it and show it to them again - a song to warm all ages :heart:
