David Bowie, Justin Timberlake, Disclosure and now Fall Out Boy having OA/OS success on iTunes. At least 'White Noise' looks set to climb in its second week (rather than the usual enter and plummet) so hopefully Disclosure's track doesn't tail off suddenly.

 

I'll check out the new Fall Out Boy track on YouTube and see if it's any good. I can't help but think already that within 48 hours from now, Fall Out Boy will probably be out of the top 10 again and start dropping down fairly quickly.

 

I don't really think it's a far comparison between Disclosure and the others; White Noise was released on a Friday so it was obviously going to climb in its second week, whereas others were released earlier in the week so were bound to have lost momentum by the next week. By the end of this week Disclosure will probably begin to fall, although maybe not quite so steeply as Bowie.

This seems to be doing really well in the US/Australia as well, already looking like a future hit

Oh and FOB's song is really good! I liked a couple of their songs in the past, but didn't really "love" them. This is a pleasant surprise!

'Wreck-It Ralph' is released on Friday, I wonder if any of the following could enter the iTunes top 500?

04. Rihanna 'Shut Up & Drive'

 

I hope Rihanna can re-enter the top 300. It's used quite predominantly in the scene that it's used. All the above are the only ones which should trouble the top 1000, if any of them do. (I'm expecting 'Wreck-It Ralph' to be a big hit, so I think some of the songs will be downloaded enough to feature :lol:)

totally agreed - I'd be so surprised if it ended up on the lower end of the top 40, even for just one week! obvoiously the song deserves better than that but considering the circumstances, it'd be a good result!

It looks like Scream & Shout will be out of the top 3 finally.

'MSKWYDITD(LEU)' (nice initialism) could quite easily become Fall Out Boy's 2nd highest peaking single :o Aside from 'This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race' their previous best is #8 with 'Sugar, We're Goin' Down' and 'Dance, Dance'. Of course there's also every chance of it being extremely frontloaded and charting at #8-10, or even lower (would be surprised if it missed the top 10 now though). Just listened to it and it's rather good yay.

So rooting for Disclosure to snatch that #1! :D

And wow at Little Mix on the verge of a third top 10 with "Change Your Life". I wonder when the followup / deluxe edition of the DNA album will arrive. ;)

She seems annoyed at how it's just been randomly thrown out to us too, it seems. I think she tweeted someone (who replied to her tweet about 'How To Be A Heartbreaker' becoming available to download here) "Don't even ask" or something like that. She deserves so much better! Especially after 'Primadonna' having a bit of longevity for her and 'Electra Heart' debuting at number 1!

 

Woo for Little Mix! Glad they've managed to get above Conor after he fell out of the top 10. Quicker than I thought they would too!
