Incredible top 2. 'Thrift Shop' #1 next week for sure!

This must be a contender for Worst top 3 ever!

Hearing the radio edit of this for the first time  "This is aws aws awesome"

Great to see Bingo Players get a 2nd week at #1  Really hoping that this song doesn't turn out to be a non-#1.

Macklemore #1 next week  It's going to be MASSIVE!

Macklemore reminds me of Vanilla Ice so much with his quiff.

I'd say it's more because Macklemore screams novelty at every turn. ;)

Macklemore #2!! So Get Up gets a 2nd week at the top. Nice!!! :D

Most of his songs aren't like this, it's just Thrift Shop really. I'm sure they'll get more chart hits.

I really don't understand why people say it will turn out that way when it's only 2 weeks into its run  It's got 2 weeks at #1 and isn't dropping like a rock on itunes.

It's not as mainstream as most #1s, which usually means a shorter chart run. But I think it'll sell over 200,000 for sure now, maybe 300,000.

Doesn't mean much. To be fair, the Iceman did have three more UK Top 40 hits to his credit. And yet, his novelty status is pretty much secure.

This is the first time there have been three (different) multiple-week #1s in a row since 'Give Me Everything'/'Changed The Way You Kiss Me'/'Don't Wanna Go Home'! (Incidentally, 'Don't Wanna Go Home' had 2 weeks?! Could see myself thinking the same about 'Get Up (Rattle)' in the future) :P Later in 2011 there was two 3-week #1 runs for 'We Found Love' with 2 weeks of 'Read All About It' in between.

And if 'Thrift Shop' has multiple weeks at #1 which I think is likely, then it'll be the first time there have been 4 in a row since 'Run'/'Hallelujah'/'Just Dance'/'The Fear' all the way back in late 2008-early 2009 :o

Same Love isn't novelty though. However, only time will tell.

You could've said the same for Eminem back in 1999/2000 but he proved otherwise.
