I only say that because I think it'll be the sort of song that regularly makes return visits. I imagine it'll appear on a few reality TV shows for quite a while too.

iTunes want to make money, so they discount songs that people will buy into. Despite iTunes getting less profit from a sale of a 59p song than they do a 99p song, they'd prefer a song at #30 on 59p than at #300 on 99p.

 

Of course, sometimes record labels reduce songs to 59p, so that more people buy them - but they will get less profit from the sale. (I think)

 

Search "loss leader" on Google. It's a marketing theory, where a store will sell something at such a low price that they lose profit on that specific product, but they make a bigger profit overall because people will buy more other things when in the store. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loss_leader

I never really remember how much I like Diamonds until I hear it. :lol:

Though it's far from her best I still love "Diamonds".

Kind of see what you mean, it is different for her (which is good imo).

 

For me it's a less interesting version of what she did with Rated R (which is her opus). Her accent in it annoys me most of all though.

I still don't know what to make of "Gangnam Style". Whether that's a good thing or not, the jury's still out.

I love Diamonds, it's one of my favourites by her. It seems to generally be a marmite song though!
