I don't understand the response for this song. It's good, but it's not that good!

Both "Suit & Tie" and "Mirrors" would go down like peanut butter with other, less distinguished talents. For Justin though, a certain sense of underwhelming creeps in, as he already proved he's capable of much better.
Except "Harlem Shake" started as a genuine old-fashioned underground phenomenon, whereas "Gangnam Style" was a novelty from the ground up.

Many people have pointed out before that if "Gangnam Style" is a novelty then half of the songs to have charted in the last two years are as well.

"Mirrors" - inoffensive MOR for the 2010s?
Now THIS is more like it JT, I agree about the Cry Me a River comparison (ten years old  ). I don't understand the criticism for the long outro, I think it works really well here.

Mirrors probably only sounds great because Suit & Tie was so awful  I like Mirrors, however its not a patch on any previous material.

It's like Justin has one of these songs on each album:

Cry Me a River

What Goes Around

Mirrors

Rihanna's next single, Motivation Pour It Up needs to get in the chart soon.

Many people have pointed out before that if "Gangnam Style" is a novelty then half of the songs to have charted in the last two years are as well.

Maybe. And as someone said, it probably wasn't such in Korea - cultural issues and all that; and the fact that Psy is an established star in there. Still, as someone ancient once said, perception is everything. It might be unjust (I certainly think so), but there you go.

Is Rhenna not at the Brits then? When is the Brits on the TV anyway?

Oh I agree with this as well. I really like the outro. Must qualify 'Mirrors' as among the longest playing tracks to go top 40 at least this decade, it's even longer than 'Greyhound'.

Much better than the abomination that will probably be #1 next week.

After seeing One Way Or Another's video preview, why do each of their videos just get more cringier :puke2:

I don't find "Kiss You"'s video cringe-worthy; it's actually One Direction having a sense of humour about themselves when putting themselves as matinee idols.

'Kiss You' has outperformed 'One Thing' so strongly, I don't quite understand it. I'm still a bit baffled by the lack of a physical release, though.
