February 17, 201313 yr Can't believe this has gone top three  I know it's because of the viral video/craze but the song itself is like Flat Beat 2013 or something! lol. I remember the adverts with Flat Eric banging his head in the car. Harlem Shake is such a weird sounding song . People who work in old peoples homes should use for their discos just for the reactions
February 17, 201313 yr This is so early 00s sounding. It reminds me of Fragma (You Are Alive/Everytime You Need Me).
February 17, 201313 yr Eh, I Could Be The One is very average for Avicii, but I'm glad he has a number 1 to his name. I don't think it will be a non number 1 though, it will be this year's Hot Right Now (how coincidental :o) I think I Could Be the One is MILES better than Levels and Silhouettes, and it makes up for an incredibly crap #2 and #3.
February 17, 201313 yr What about Eva Simons on "This Is Love"? Oh yeah, whoops! Still interesting to have Dutch acts back at the top of the chart recently, as many used to be in the 90s!
February 17, 201313 yr I don't think I Could Be The One will be a non number 1 (mark my words) :P Its fall on iTunes suggests that it will be. :P
February 17, 201313 yr lol. I remember the adverts with Flat Eric banging his head in the car. Harlem Shake is such a weird sounding song . People who work in old peoples homes should use for their discos just for the reactions  It was funny but the song was nothing but a beat a la Harlem Shake although I do like both to some extent, but I prefer melodic music. This is so early 00s sounding. It reminds me of Fragma (You Are Alive/Everytime You Need Me). Agreed, probably why I love it so much. I wonder who sings on I Could Be The One. Fragma had a revolving door of guest vocalists, some credited and some not - Coco, Maria Rubia and Damae fronted their three big singles.
February 17, 201313 yr Eh, I Could Be The One is very average for Avicii, but I'm glad he has a number 1 to his name. I don't think it will be a non number 1 though, it will be this year's Hot Right Now (how coincidental :o) Oh I agree with this post entirely - I retract saying this will be as big as 'Don't You Worry Child' seeing as it's already down to #4 on iTunes (but it'll have high sales for its position wherever it ends up, like Robbie's 'Candy') but 'Hot Right Now' could be a better comparison. I am glad to see Avicii getting a #1 as he's the sort of act that often has 1 hit and then never releases another single let alone gets another hit :P But this is by far his worst single to date. Also pleased to see Nicky Romero finally getting a chart hit and a #1 straight away but again he has far better.
February 17, 201313 yr What a weird top 10. Full of stuff that was either awful in a 'god I'm getting too old for this noise' kind of way or it was mind numbingly DULL. (Disclosure aside, naturally)
February 17, 201313 yr Its fall on iTunes suggests that it will be. :P It's just a busy week, hopefully it'll stabilise after a sharp drop from #1 a la Candy/Feel The Love (definitely not non number 1's).
February 17, 201313 yr This atrocity is the potential #1 for next week? It's awful isn't it? :( At least the original will get a big boost (it's also currently 59p on iTunes).
February 17, 201313 yr Its fall on iTunes suggests that it will be. :P It probably will be if you go by that method of having the chart span over 21 days, but if you go by sales total I think it'll do fine.
February 17, 201313 yr Its fall on iTunes suggests that it will be. :P For me it doesn't really suggest anything, it's down to 4, it's not a huge fall, 1 very popular song (Macklemore) overtook it but actually Avicii never had a big lead in front of Thrift Shop, while Harlem Shake is very hyped and 1D is new. We'll see of course in the future but to say after 1 week that it's a non number 1 is a bit strange
February 17, 201313 yr So I just found out (very late, I know) that David Cameron will cameo on the video. Suitable, I guess...
February 17, 201313 yr It's just a busy week, hopefully it'll stabilise after a sharp drop from #1 a la Candy/Feel The Love (definitely not non number 1's). Also, 'Good Times' was a non-number one - despite having 3 weeks at the summit! A non-number one shall be defined once it leaves the Top 10 (or the Top 40 (or in many years time (let's just stick with Gezza's thread!))). :D
