That's GREAT news for the album...

Pompeii -just increased another 3% in the past hour... maybe even tomorrow they will take the number 1 spot.. they are not stopping at all, I don't get it :|

Even if Justin doesn't hold on I think he's gonna shift a lot of albums. The buzz around him is so good right now. I'd like to see him get #1 though as it can only help.

Geez omri calm down, they're only on 0.65! It'll probably start dropping off tomorrow unless something BIZARRE happens (i.e. Capital starts playing it)

Dude... but he is falling also because it's already a week since the performance and no Radio 1 support or video... and they got the EP all the way to number 1 already 48 hours and counting...

Skyfall  #11 :D How far from top 10? Would love to see it back after the Oscar win and amazing performance. Highlights being shown on Sky Living now!

Back to #6 in US.

Mirrors still #1 yes!

Would love to see 'Skyfall' back in the top 10 but preferably not at the expense of Ben Howard who's currently #10.

Re: JT's album, 70 minutes for 10 tracks :o As long as the rest of the long tracks pull off the length as well as 'Mirrors' does that'll be fine though.

33. Alex Day - Epigrams And Interludes [Released 17th March]

I wonder if this could go top 20? It's doing quite well on pre-orders! £3.99 is very impressive for an album with 20tracks though!

76. Micheal Buble - To Be Loved.

135. The Saturdays - What About Us [Released 17th March]

I'm predicting a #03 peak for What About Us, I'm not sure it will go to number one as it's had poor Radio Airplay.

It has almost a month to go though and seems to have got off to a stronger start than most of theirs.

Any week where Bastille and JT were competing for #1 I'd usually be in fairly high spirits but I can't get over how badly "Now" is doing.
For me Justin has always had the whole package. He can really sing, really dance and he has lots of charisma. The top British male popstars seem to trade off their "charm" alone and not a lot else. Great to have him back. Was devastated he didn't sing on Jonathan Ross. That appearance did him so much good though. I didn't see one bad comment after on Twitter. Everyone seemed to love him. Excited for the album.
His interview on Jonathan Ross was great! I love how physical Wossy gets with his guests and their banter with each other was so funny.

lol. As much as i want Bastille at #1, there's surely no way that's gonna happen? It's still a long way off iTunes' #1, and while the EP certainly helps, i don't think it'll have THAT much effect.
EP's are very different to albums in the digital era though. I think Bastille are heading for number 1 and I will be incredibly shocked if JT manages to stop them (or 1D) to get the number 1 this week.

I'm not surprised at how well Justin Timberlake is doing. Firstly Mirrors is a great song. Secondly, unlike a lot of other artists that have massive breaks and have come back fairly recently (Avril Lavigne, Nelly Furtado etc.) there is such a massive gap for him. Infac,t noone has filed it in the long term since 2006/2007 with his last era which just shows how few male popstars there are out there. He's also in this unique small category that he appeals to everyone.

Before someone mentions Justin Bieber, they're completely different, although he is definitely going to be groomed to be like him, although not sure how well that will work with the stigma attatched to him already.

171. Recover - CHVRCHES

^ Hope this can climb some more this week. Interestingly, 'The Mother We Share' has been deleted off iTunes! Obviously it'll be re-added at some point, methinks they might try and push it as a single in the near future (a bit like Bastille did with "Flaws")

The obvious hit is 'Lies' :(
It was a mixture of Capital FM and Choice FM.

Ah okay. I almost guessed right. Capital must be torture to listen to, but I like Choice. Did they play The Thing by Atumpan? They always play that on Choice, it was one of my favourite songs last summer.

I agree. Justin really has no major competition, which has helped him (just Trey Songz, Justin Bieber and Miguel are the closest musically to him). Whilst there is Enrique Iglesias, Taio Cruz, Ne-Yo, Usher, Chris Brown, Pitbull and Flo Rida for male singers, they all do dance music, so they're not competition for Justin really, Justin can slot back into his previous niche very easily.

But Paramore have never really been a singles act.

But NOW is really performing BAD... but it's a bad song in my opinion so I think it was written on the wall.
