Like many here I've underscored songs that have gone on to become big UK hits that I've suddenly grown to appreciate more. I gave the likes of Little Talks and Somebody That I Used To Know between 1 and 5 points each in their respective contests but they were still taking their time to grow on me when the final rolled around. Gotye's song took until about November 2011 to finally properly click with me. Also I didn't care for Karmin's Brokenhearted at all when it was sent but grew to really like it.

 

It doesn't so much happen to me that songs that I never voted for take off for me, what's more usual for me is to start to regret my ordering of the songs I did give points to months afterwards. On the flipside there are songs that I think 'did I REALLY give that 6+ points? WHY.'. Charice's Louder springs to mind for that, what were we all thinking? :lol: At least I didn't get wrapped up in the Silly Boy hype! And even a couple of my 12 pointers are real WTF moments when I look at the far superior songs that got my 8 and 10...

I'm struggling to think of many to be honest, I don't really tend to listen to more than 1/2 songs per contest for more than the duration (excluding my own amazing array of entries, naturally) so they don't really get a chance to grow. I guess the closest is Namie Amuro - Only You which would totally be a 12 these days (I think I gave it 10 so not much difference).

- Italove 'Strangers In The Night' strange one but after putting the BJSC 48 packs on my macbook this played and i really love it. i absolutely hated it at the time, like 2/10 ranking or something?

- LOLO 'Gangsters (XY Constant Remix)' gave no points to this but it's ended up with more plays than everything bar Alex Adair from that same contest.

I know I gave this some points but NOT ENOUGH. Club exposure (even if it's 3 years old) has helped.

I can't believe I gave BIPP 0pts when it's like... one of my favourite entries from last year. Also, 'Danse' is one of my favourite entries of this year and I only gave it 1pt, grew on me majorly even just a day after voting. Really should've given it more.
