March 9, 201312 yr If I Were A Boy is a beautiful song. It's very underrated on this forum though, which is sad. :( Toby, I was referring to Doug more than you, so don't worry. :P
March 9, 201312 yr She doesn't strike me as all that likeable either. I agree with others that she has talent, but not much material to match. She also seems a bit emotionless in some of her ballads.
March 9, 201312 yr Sweet Dreams and Halo were great Beyonce songs. Single Ladies (with the most over-rated video ever) and Who Run the World? were not.
March 9, 201312 yr I really don't get the hate for Single Ladies at all. It's not the best song in the world, but it's far from the worse as well. As for Run The World, I know that this is an unpopular opinion, but I love it with all my heart.
March 9, 201312 yr oh no griff, just no. I could kind of understand why people like 'crazy in love' and 'best thing I never had' for example, but 'run the world (girls) is the absolute worst. DIRE. :puke: Edited March 9, 201312 yr by Doug
March 9, 201312 yr I dont hate Single Ladies but it is annoying. Who Run the World? is probably her worst single.
March 9, 201312 yr I can't believe no one has mentioned Rihanna, she's the biggest talentless puppet in the music business. I do listen to her albums because I like some of her songs but I'd never buy anything legally. Rihanna is a business. I know the same can be told about Britney but her albums are consistently AMAZING and they are more carefully done than Rihanna's.
March 9, 201312 yr Rihanna not amazing - Britney amazing? I think it's going to be down to taste. I would go for Rihanna - even though her over-exposure must be annoying so many people. Everyone who is globally successful is over-rated. The real innovators in music don't sell in great quantities, at the moment.
March 9, 201312 yr I like both Rihanna and Britney. Not the best vocalists but they have a real ability to sell and an aura about them. They have a certain "something"
March 9, 201312 yr I like both Rihanna and Britney. Not the best vocalists but they have a real ability to sell and an aura about them. They have a certain "something" How is that a reason to like someone? With Rihanna and Britney it essentially comes down to who has the best material and this is why I think Britney wins.
March 9, 201312 yr How is that a reason to like someone? With Rihanna and Britney it essentially comes down to who has the best material and this is why I think Britney wins. I didn't say it was a reason to like someone a such, I was merely trying to say although they are not the best vocalists they have a star quality. I like both for their output but Britney is slightly better material wise I agree.
March 9, 201312 yr How is that a reason to like someone? How is seeing an artist as a business a reason to dislike their music? Edited March 10, 201312 yr by G R I E F
March 9, 201312 yr Rihanna's far too overrated. She only has a few real outstanding songs - California King Bed, Cheers (Drink to That), We Found Love, What Now.
March 9, 201312 yr How is seeing an artist as a bushiness a reason to dislike their music? Many people, myself included, prefer music by artists whose music is personal to them. Rihanna's music is generally soulless and not interesting enough for me. Plus she hasn't even got much of a voice and comes across a bit if a tool.
March 9, 201312 yr I hate the concept of "deserving" success. None of them deserve it. Anyone who works hard within their chosen profession deserves success, surely? Seems like an odd thing to take issue with to me.
March 11, 201312 yr Anyone who works hard within their chosen profession deserves success, surely? Seems like an odd thing to take issue with to me. Are we really here judging people on how hard they work? If that is taken into account, then yeah - most of them deserve it. I dont see it being mentioned very often.
March 12, 201312 yr Spice Girls Diana Vickers Girls Alound (especially in their early years) David Guetta + Calvin Harris (their tunes are very very identical...) Pitbull (Pitwho?) That's it for the moment...
March 13, 201312 yr Author Diana Vickers how can Diana Vickers be overrated while she's only had 1 UK hit so far and is yet unknown to.the rest of the world???. same goes concerning Girls.Aloud since they're unknown outside.the UK...
