I just looked back, and this time two years ago (exactly) Don't Hold Your Breath reached #1 on iTunes. Weird how time flies... Boomerang won't be getting #1, it's not climbing near as fast and even DHYB only just made #1 that week iirc. DHYB was at #4 at 11:15, so Boomerang is currently three hours behind in terms of progress (and that also had Adele - Someone Like You to overcome!)

But there's another version of Boomerang at #34. DHYB had only one version. Nicole has 83% of #1 with two versions combined, so yeah, I'm pretty sure it is gonna hit #1.

NICOLE IS #1!!!!!! :w00t: :w00t: :o :o :cheer: :cheer:

Don't Hold Your Breath was number 1 by this time on Sunday 13th March 2011.

This is the beginning of the end for music. It hopefully won't go to #1 this week though. :D

Army of Two?

Boomerang is not number one, I still think it will debut this week at 03, which is impressive as airplay has been poor!

That "Nicole is #1" quote is just showing that she was #1 on iTunes at 2.22pm when 'Don't Hold Your Breath' was released.

'Boomerang' is #3 combined and #4 with her top version! :D

Oh, I just came into this thread and read Morning Glory's post, and I assumed that Eric had been the first person to break the news that Boomerang had gone to #1! I feel so stupid now.

Being "3 hours behind" is negligible  Plus, much as I love 'Mirrors', I highly doubt it's selling anywhere near as much as 'Someone Like You' was selling on that week (therefore Nicole has a lower baseline needed to get to #1 this time around).

1D seem to be benefiting quite a lot from the weekend effect now, I remember they climbed all the way back up to #2 last weekend and they're now back up to #5 again pushing Bastille down to #6. Boooo. Ah well, they should start dying again from tomorrow (before being boosted back to the top 3 / #1 by Comic Relief :mansoncheer:)
