I wouldn't mind The Sats going to #1 actually, it's much better than their last single "30 Days". But I think they're going to be a midweek #1 but fall at the last hurdle (not as bad as Scherzy though) with Justin overtaking!

I don't know what's going to happen, I think One Direction will start falling come Sunday. It all depends if The Saturdays go to number one on iTunes (Until even Wednesday), if they do they should be number one as they will have great iTunes Pre-Order sales and 2k+ physical sales.

Can't say I ever expected to see this at #1 again, I'll be a tad pissed if it takes the #1 from The Sats next week (even if 'What About Us' is just there to my ears). I've still yet to hear the 1D song but it annoys me that it looks certain to be the best selling single of the era.

Maybe 1d could be number 1 even this week? I think they can...

I'll be disappointed if 1D did somehow sell enough downloads between now and tomorrow night to reclaim the #1 spot. :no: I'm hoping 'Mirrors' (and Pink if she's got a chance) can prevent this from happening. ID to climb to #3 maximum on Sunday then drop down next week after Comic Relief becomes nothing more than a distant memory. :D

So Sit Down by James, the original version, will be #1 next week. Thank goodness.

That's the good thing about this "boost" being on a Friday. Unless they have more promo planned during next week, 1D will have fallen away by Monday at the latest I think. 'Mirrors' would have regained by the time The Sats, possibly take over. I do wonder though, if the radio edit of 'Mirrors' DOES become available for us on Sunday, how much it'll effect the version that's currently selling so much... which probably means The Sats could potentially be one of those "iTunes number 1, but not official number 1".

 

I literally cannot call it for next week. Will 1D sell enough physicals next week to climb back to number 1? Will The Sats be too front loaded to be number 1? How many versions of 'Mirrors' will there be for Justin to take advantage of? I really don't know...

 

EDIT: Oh yeah and that's not factoring in the potential success of 'Sit Down' (I'm not expecting it to do TOO much, but who knows!)

 

EDIT2: Ooh Nicole Scherzinger 'Boomerang' being used quite heavily in a section for Comic Relief. PLEASE STABILISE IN THE TOP 10! :(

Maybe a small boost for Nicole Scherzinger; a brief clip of Boomerang was just played in a VT on Comic Relief.

It really reminds me of The Truth About Love by Pink (the title track from the album) for some reason, but done a lot better given that's one of the weaker tracks on said album.

 

I'm really really liking it though, I think it could quite easily be their first top 10 if radio get on board in the next few weeks.
