I'm wondering if this single can become Saturdays biggest seller. I am actually surprised JT hasn't caught up yet, as Saturdays normal mid week decline mixed with the reveal of the Mirrors video seemed likely to evaporate the lead

 

What are their current biggest-sellers and how much have they sold? I'm assuming they're 'Up', 'Issues' and 'Ego' all between 300-350k.

Uk channels won't have the JT video yet (probably get it today), so it won't have a massive effect just yet. He'll increase more rapidly from today I should think.

:( I like missing you too. Gutted it missed out officially on the no.1 spot. Each to their own though.

Missing You came up on my phone the other day (first time I heard it in ages), and it reminded me a lot of Say It Right, especially the beat that comes in at the chorus.

Yeah, I've always loved that song. The production is really brilliant, especially the chorus. I love the atmospheric feel and all the drums and clicky sounds and the synths and the echoing. It's brilliant. There's so much going on, but it still sounds quite minimal.

There'll definitely be updated sales for some of their singles either this week or whenever WAU passes a high-selling single in sales.

 

So 'Ego' is only 10k away from 'Up'? I'd say that's probably their highest-seller atm. 'Up' doesn't seem like a song to trickle sell. I think 'Higher' is by far their best and despite peaking at #10, I'm glad it's sold that much. For all the hype, AFU really isn't that big a hit. Love how 'Work' has beaten '30 Days' despite being released in a lower sales climate and peaking 15 places lower. 'Work' is definitely their second best single - followed by 'Forever Is Over' and 'Ego'.

Summed it up perfectly! It really does sound so simple, but there is a lot going on!

What's astonishing is that the last two Sats releases underperformed terribly and now What About Us looks set to ousell both of their totals in a single week. Who would have thought?

30 Days and What About Us are pretty similar too which is quite strange? What About Us is definitely better though I think, summer vibe to it!

Funny that Ego and Higher sold so much despite being 9 and 10 at the start of their runs.

 

 

I knew Girls Aloud were going to end but I didn't think they would ever announce a split. It's quite sad to read. Their my favourite musical act of all time. So glad I got to see them one last time on tour.

 

The album is still top 75 so I think it might rise a bit this week. Then the tour being on MTV and Viva afew times on Easter weekend could help slightly too.

Either Ego or Higher. That's only if the last sales update was indeed very long ago. I still think both of them could outsell Up one day (they deserve it too). Higher has 2 versions so that might help.
