Pink's lead is now 31% combined. With "Mirrors" about to take No.1 from PJ&D on iTunes, it sure looks like that this might just be enough for her to claim her 4th No.1 single.

If Pink does manage to bag the official #1 on Sunday (I honestly doubt she will but let's go with it for a minute), are there any other examples of a song never reaching official number one on iTunes (uncombined) but managed to claim the official #1?

I don't think Sak Noel ever got to #1 on iTunes.

I can't think of any off of the top of my head. If there has been any I must've missed it/them.

I heard a rumor that Lady Gaga - Poker Face didn't get to #1 on iTunes but im not sure at all about that.

It didn't I don't think. It had loads of versions but Iris was no.1 at the start of the week with Moves Like Jagger doing it's (by then) usual takeovers.

Loca People - EP did get to #1 in the albums chart, which helped it get #1 officially! Thanks to the sales of the EP not counting in the download chart Loca People made #2 in the download chart.
Did Forget You by Cee-Lo Green get to #1 on iTunes?

It almost definitely did, it was one of the most hyped songs of that year!

It's very rare for a song to not be #1 on Itunes once and reach #1 on the Official Charts

When was the last time someone had 3 versions of the same song in the Itunes top 40?

Wasn't it 2009 when Rage Against the Machine got the Christmas No.1?

I'm pretty sure it got to #1 on iTunes, but I think in one of the weeks someone else (I think Flo Rida/Ke$ha?) was #1 all week and Poker Face surprised everybody by beating them in the end.

I think he meant because there was a clean and explicit version of the song, which were both top 10 on iTunes on release week. I'm pretty sure the explicit version got #1 on iTunes though (whilst the clean version was in the top 5 at the same time).

Did Boys and Girls by Pixie Lott ever get #1 on iTunes?

Bastille had 3 versions of Pompeii in the top 40 the week their album came out I think.

I know Price Tag had 2 versions in the Top 10 and a third version which was possibly Top 40. I remember Sexy Chick / Bitch having 4 versions but not sure how many were Top 40. Don't remember Rage having lots of versions but phaps it did. How many of the Alex Day Christmas track versions were Top 40 at its peak?
As fantastic as it is to see Pink slaying, I think it may be just a tad late. Anyway, she's had 3 no.1s already (deserves more) and Ant and Dec never had one so its probably for the best.

I wish she would do it imagine how great it would be to see her with a 4 th number 1 with a third single off her album and she would be a legendary chart star 14 years into a brilliant career and as relevant as ever in the music scene - classic artist!!

Not quite sure why some people are so keen for a fairly anonymous track by Pink to get to No.1 this week. Surely Rhumble deserves it more - at least it is memorable and shows it has legs - nearly 20 years on from its original release.

How do you figure that out?It sold 130k copies until this recent tv performance and that's why it is back it was in prime time Saturday tv to boost it.also the comment about Pink is objective I think it's a good record by her!

I'm sure we've already had this exact discussion about 3 versions in the top 40 in this thread. The last time it happened was a full 3 weeks ago with 'Pompeii' and it also happened with 'I Knew You Were Trouble.' after the BRITs. It's not that rare.

'Boys And Girls' never got to #1 on iTunes, no. Another one is 'The Official BBC Children In Need Medley' which never even went top 10 on iTunes and was not in the top 100 at any point during its second week at #1.

'Poker Face' wasn't #1 on iTunes until after it was #1 officially, but it did get there.
