March 24, 201313 yr Really happy Bon Jovi improved on their midweek position and returned to the top 10. Well done to the Saturdays on finally getting that much sought after number 1 single.
March 24, 201313 yr Amazed at how well Stereophonics are holding up with this album, I expected it to have left the top 20 by now.
March 24, 201313 yr 041 Calvin Harris - I Need Your Love 042 Mario - Let Me Love You 044 Gorgon City - Real  These should've been top 40.
March 24, 201313 yr Great to see The Saturdays receive their first number one, however there are a few songs in their discography that I would rather have been a number one for them. Nice to see HAIM climb into the Top 75 with Falling. I don’t think it will reach the Top 40 (although if Don’t Save Me only just managed, Falling shouldn’t out-peak it) but Top 50 would be nice. No surprise that Emeli Sandé overtook the Les Misérables soundtrack from the midweeks. What is a surprise is seeing Bon Jovi have climbed back into the Top 10 from the mids, perhaps this will hold up reasonably well after all. Great to see Dido still Top 20 and a return to the Top 40 for David Bowie’s Best of Bowie.
March 24, 201313 yr Well done The Saturdays! I did think this day would never happen. Super well done for Suede, I really didn't think that would hang on to the top 10.
March 24, 201313 yr Great to see Haim and Kendrick Lamar climbing outside the Top 40 - hopefully they make it in at some point, though the chart is as dead as the British economy at the moment!
March 24, 201313 yr Just noticed how close Abba Gold is to getting a unique 1000 weeks. Probably won't make it until about this time next year, but what an amazing feat that would be
March 24, 201313 yr Just noticed how close Abba Gold is to getting a unique 1000 weeks. Probably won't make it until about this time next year, but what an amazing feat that would be It has 41 weeks left until it reaches 1000, so it will probably have passed this time next year. It seems to be forever present in the Top 200. Not sure how close other albums are to the 1000 week mark, but if no other album passes 1000 weeks before ABBA's Gold: Greatest Hits, I think they will be only the second to do so (Queen's Greatest Hits was the first to pass). March 24, 201313 yr 041 Calvin Harris - I Need Your Love 042 Mario - Let Me Love You 044 Gorgon City - Real  These should've been top 40. Yet Gangnam Style lingers on
March 24, 201313 yr Singles: 38 47 71 David Guetta Feat. Sia Titanium 42 58 53 Mario Let Me Love You 74 87 36 The Script For The First Time 78 99 44 Stereophonics Handbags And Gladrags 86 108 50 The Calling Wherever You Will Go Why the surge in these songs? 59p in iTunes? British TV shows?
March 24, 201313 yr Hope Girls Aloud increase this week. Maybe they will the following week too, after the concert is shown on Viva Saturday 30th and twice on MTV on Sunday 31st.
March 24, 201313 yr Why the surge in these songs? 59p in iTunes? British TV shows? I was told Let Me Love You was 59p and it was suggested in the Chart Show Thread that Titanium was too, I presume that's the reason behind the other climbs as well. EDIT: Just checked myself and all those songs are 59p. Edited March 24, 201313 yr by liamk97
March 24, 201313 yr Well done to Suede for their first top 10 album in 14 years. Hopefully it declines gracefully, rather than falling like a brick. Also, Depeche Mode #60 in the singles? Their physical sales must've been hella good.

Isn't the 959 weeks in the top 100 though? I seem to remember Zeus posting that Abba Gold has the most weeks in the Top 75 and the most weeks in the Top 100, but not the most in the Official Album Chart canon because of the different times when the official chart has been top 75/top 100 It keeps on popping in and out of the top 100 even 20 years or so from release, and despite there being a number of other Abba compilations released since. I hope the race to 1000 weeks gets mentioned in a few places

I hope the race to 1000 weeks gets mentioned in a few places No, it's not Top 100 (I think that it's spent something like 300 weeks in the Top 100 though which is quite an achievement anyway). By the time Gold: Greatest Hits had left the Top 75, a Top 200 was available so you don't need to worry about "missing weeks" or anything due to changing Top 75/100 etc. Here's its chart run up to 9 March 2013: http://www.ukmix.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=294781#p294781 Courtesy of Hanboo at UKMIX
March 24, 201313 yr Thanks, a little disappointing compared to what I was thinking (if that number of chart weeks could ever be described as disappointing!)
