You do know Michael Buble's song is doing this well due to Saturday Night Takeaway, right?

I was gonna say that. However I didn't think the performance was that great. Not one of his strongest live but glad he got a boost nevertheless.

That Duke Dumont song is a massive steaming pile of shite...how is it even bothering the top 40 let alone being potentialluy #1?!! <_< <_< <_<   :puke2: :puke2: :puke2: :puke2: :puke2: :puke2: :puke2:

because it has a club/house sort of sound to it and that's what sells nowadays

I'm surprised that "feat" isn't some urban rapper who sounds like they are retarded like most of the chart. Doesn't really go anywhere but it's not dreadful at least

Well, that campaigns not doing much is it?

I thought that Duke Dumont song was a rap song (mainly down to the name) :D

Was pleasantly surprised when I listened to the 1 minute 30 preview on itunes :)

Finally top 200, helped by Radio 1 airplay. Hopefully this can be a top 10 hit for her - I love it so much! I fear this will be the Talk That Talk of this era though!

What really? It must take quite a lot of people to get it that high. Probably over a hundred.

It's not like what you get in the charts really. People like Ne-Yo, Lady Gaga, Usher, Flo Rida, etc. don't release songs like this.

But I noticed we're getting "proper" dance music getting back in the charts, stuff like Disclosure and Gorgon City. I think when the US R&B singers stop doing dance songs, it'll make room for the purer, less watered-down stuff to get in the charts. It'll be great if this goes #1.

Girls Aloud campagins never work. Didn't they want to get 'Untouchable' into the top 10 to continue Girls Aloud's unbroken run of top 10 hits?

That worked didn't it. :D

Duke is climbing really slowly. Maybe he won't have be the fastest selling song of the year after all.

'22' at #10. Ugh. :(

Iconic tune.

I agree it might do like Talk That Talk though. But you have to respect Rihanna for not releasing Right Now! I thought it wasn't getting a music video, but it's been announced as the 3rd pop single for the US (still not certain they'll actually go through this, but its due to be sent to pop radio). I think it'll get a music video if that happens.

'Pour It Up' is f***ing awful. One of Rihanna's worst singles ever.

Hopefully not because it's BETTER than 'Talk That Talk'. It's also her best single so far this era! 'Diamonds' got boring quickly and 'Stay' is insanely overrated. Rih just stick to the urban cuts ('Pour It Up', 'Cockiness') or the anthemic dance tracks ('We Found Love', 'Only Girl (In the World)') please.

What about that song she released a few years ago that goes "duh duh duh duh" for 4 minutes straight? :drama:

REVOLUTIONARY piece of pop music right here. So creative this song.

So many wrong opinions in this thread. :(

This is reminding me of when Will Young released Jealousy and it had a really strong start. Heart Skips A Beat was released on that week as well and I think that the same scenario could happen this time - Need U goes to #1 and It's A Beautiful Day enters at #5.

An opinion cannot be wrong

It's wrong in my opinion though. :kink:
