March 25, 201510 yr Author Could the semi-finals and finals potentially be hosted live on plug.dj (since you can create playlists from youtube and soundcloud)? The only potential issue is where we have songs that aren't on either of those two sources thus there may be chances where the whole contest can't be played on plug.dj. Should the entire contest be on those two sites, then I'm certainly not going to stand in the way of a host holding a plug.dj night to play through the whole contest. However it's not something, at this time, that we'd be looking to make into an official BJSC decree like mp3 packs and links to youtube/soundcloud/dailymotion et al. You're more than welcome to try it out and let us know how it works out and how many BJSC people were involved. If the level of interest/participation from BJSC members on these BJSC nights becomes significant then I will happily reconsider my stance and look at ways that we can make it part of the official BJSC experience.
March 25, 201510 yr Author can we PLEASE get 00's dance please ASAP i know what i'd send and cal get ur hands OFF! I will add that to the list and see what we can do. I was thinking could we use the Spin Off forum to host various rates e.g. BJSC Winners Rate, All [x country] Entries Rate?, it's about time rates made the BJSC forum and I'm sure people could get down with that alongside formal contests. ^_^ I have absolutely no objections to that at all.
March 25, 201510 yr Author I've mentioned this to multiple people and they seem to think it's a great idea and it would be a brilliant amount of fun. It would be like a special BJSC where each country can send one song that they've sent to BJSC in the last 12-24 months with winners excluded. I think it would be great fun and it would be such an unpredictable list being presented. We could end up with Ashton: Tone Damli! Aquafina: Lune- Leave The World Behind Bignia - Katy Tiz - Red Cup It would be a great amount of fun!I agree, I think it would be a lot of fun, and it does give another chance for our absolute favourites to shine and find some more fans. Excluding the winners is great but it's the timescale i'm not too sure about. Within the past 12 months is very firmly TBO territory and possibly a bit too recent past. I think excluding the last 12 months for those countries who have been around for longer than 12 months might be a slightly better route to take as it avoids a clash with TBO, introduces some older gems to those who have recently joined us, and gets nations to delve a bit more into their past as well. Love the idea though and I'm happy to chat through some of the finer points so that we can make this happen.
March 25, 201510 yr Author Sorry for the delayed responses guys! Wanted to wait until I had enough time to actually sit and think about everything before I responded. Think this thread has brought some good ideas to light since it started.

I do agree that the timescale could be one of the main difficulties as I fully believe this could be an incredibly successful contest so ideally it wouldn't be too rushed. I agree regarding excluding the last 12 months for countries that have been around longer than 12 months tbh. I would be open to help out or whatever I just think it's a nice way for all nations to celebrate BJSC but it could be a problem if certain countries have to listen to two BJSC contests in a month.

By timescale I meant the whole 12 month thing! Eeek! My bad. I'm thinking about where we could squeeze it in but it could probably be something that we overlap with another contest without too much hassle. Do confirmations during a final, voting during the week break and real confirmations. The whole listening to two songs thing shouldn't be too much of an issue as in theory a lot of people would have heard your entry before. Could maybe start this at the end of LXXIV.

May 3, 201510 yr Can we please ban playing our future entries on plug.dj? Especially if it's regularly. On a good evening, I assume, you'll probably get 10+ actual BJSC participants and that is a bit much. I haven't been on plug.dj in like months. Is it really what it's turning into?! A pre-BJSC listening party... Has 'desperate' written ALL over it. What happened to the usual facebook, SKYPE ( :magic: we all know how you keep coming top 10 yu), PM helpses :( So, basically, KILL IT WHILE IT'S STILL NEW AND NOT EVERYONE DECIDED TO DO IT
May 3, 201510 yr I have a suggestion. How about a spin off of 'what you would send for your 100th contest' if it was right now? Most people are off their anniversary and I am sure the track would change before then?
May 3, 201510 yr 'I haven't been on plugdj in months'. And it shows. BJSC tracks really don't get many spins. People can play what they like there anyway. Why not ban playing them on Skype I stead? No? Just coming for Plugdj as you dinet like it. Ok. Edited May 3, 201510 yr by #BJSCSLAYERRRRRR

May 3, 201510 yr How about a spin off where we all send out lowest peaking DNQ  I would still have like 100 last place semi finalists to pick from :P
May 3, 201510 yr http://i.imgur.com/JK8SNpa.gif I'm sure I've managed that before though! EVVY was veto pointless surely :o
May 3, 201510 yr A SERIOUS SUGGESTION - i would love to do a 'someone elses entry' contest where we get to pick any entry from another country (maybe to limit it it can only be from contests we've participated in?) to represent us, to show ones that we've loved over the last few years. i think because we all have weird faves it would come up with some REALLY interesting combinations / results. also to make it fair i think it should exclude top 5s and also only be from the era of the veto.
