Meh. Pretty much as expected and it's not a patch on their other collabs.

 

Pitbull's hook thing is the clear highlight though! HA.

A generous 7/10. That "breakdown" is bloody horrible.

 

Safe to say I am now obsessed. Not as good as Dance Again, but I actually prefer it to OTF.

Is RedOne the only producer on this. NO WAY would he have done the 1:05-1:20 section! :o

 

Nothing else to say about the rest of the song though. I knew it would sound like this before I heard it. Hopefully RedOne does something risky one day.

The "let's f*** tonight" line seems hilare for all the wrong reasons. Overall I actually really like it though, not as great as 'On The Floor' but the hook isn't as limp as 'Dance Again'.

I actually love this song and think it's much better than Dance Again. On The Floor is definitely more superior though.

I like this in a kind of 'it's so bizarre that I feel sorry for it' way. Can't really get my head round it at the moment, but I really can't imagine it being played on any radio station!

 

Also 'Dance Again' gets far too much hate! It'd be a 9/10 if On The Floor was to be rated 11/10.

I'm not a huge fan of the post-"let's f*** tonight" breakdown, but apart from those sections, I really like it! It does feel a bit disjointed in places, but J-bull songs do. It's a million miles better than "Dance Again"; not quite at "On The Floor"'s level though.

Have to agree with Jack on this one. It really does define clunky in a spectacular way (even Girls Aloud 'Something New' wasn't this clunky!!!).

 

It sounds like they've listened to all the big club bangers from the last 2 years, pinched ideas from all of them and tried to make a new song putting them together.

 

Like Jark says, the breakdown is abysmal. Calvin Harris' similar breakdown in 'We Found Love' sounds a billion times better in comparison. The chorus makes me think of 'Starships' by Nicki Minaj. That robotic voice that says "make love, don't fight, let's f*** tonight" is wrong on so many levels. :lol: (probably tried to come up with an "every day I'm shuffling" tagline and failed big time).

 

That aside, Pitbull's Spanish rapping is an inspired addition even if the lyrics are just as mumbo jumbo as 'Don't Stop The Party'.

After listening a second time I realised it reminds me of this, my generic club banger anthem of choice for last summer. :wub:
