Only just realised that I won't be in the country from the 15th-19th May so I've got to listen and vote in the first two days...fun! Praying that the MP3 packs are prompt so I can have them on my iPod whilst I'm away :drama: Very doubtful that there'll be odds from RontBet until the final then because I won't be able to listen to 50+ tracks in a few hours (working all day every day until I go).

Well, I've confirmed a song that's been a potential for a couple of months now. Hopefully will get a chance to vote on Sunday or Monday at some point!

I actually can't believe I went for the artist I entered wot. My 51st contest though - I guess it's time to move on from my 'one artist must be entered only once' rule. :(

Even I've had to resort to artist recycling recently :( I know it was only Michael Woods, formerly seen on that Ester Dean thing, and South African Nadine who everyone had long forgotten after her first flop but still...

I think there are enough artists in the world that you'd never 'have' to resort to artist recycling. The only artist I've recycled recently was previously sent on a DNQ as a featured artist.

I don't see the harm in recycling acts you've already entered. If anything, it shows that you really are keen that acts music if you feel they're worthy enough to be entered more than once. SX and Kimbra are the two acts I've recycled.

What's so bad about artist recycling? :( I've done it loads of times (I've recycled Radio Killer, Netsky and Adrian Lux and SHOCK HORROR, I have sent Andreea Banica to the contest twice)

 

I'm pretty sure the artists who I'm sending have never been in BJSC before, hopefully that'll please the anti-recycling people.

I only artist recycle if I feel that I've found a better song by them. Psycho by Sheelah was a 10/10 but The Last Time to me was an 11 :o That said, Believe Again >> Hunters And The Wolves but both are flawless and it's Delta so it's different!

By artist recycling do you guys mean using an artist that you've already used or using an artist that has been used by someone else? Confused.

I've never actually recycled an artist but I've often entered one who've been entered in UP/BJSC before either by me (High Places, Teengirl Fantasy) or someone else (Florence & The Machine, Fever Ray/The Knife, Stars, Active Child, Major Lazer, Electrovamp, Chad Valley, Elliphant, Air France). The latter I'm more comfortable with but considering the amount of times it's happened, I'm trying to avoid it from now on.

I try to avoid both. Was hesitant to send S O H N and Roses Gabor.

 

I've never recycled an artist that I previously sent myself (unless Joe Goddard / The 2 Bears counts) and never intend to do so.
