May 18, 201312 yr Good hosting this year - plus Linda Woodruff was *.* as always. Very pleased for Denmark - it sounded like a winner, plus good to see Ukraine 3rd and Norway in the top 5. Overall, a quality contest.
May 18, 201312 yr  Just move the set over the bridge and we'll do it all again tomorrow night! :D
May 18, 201312 yr They probably had a few ready. Was I correct in thinking the interval act was going to be made available on itunes? As I need it in my life.
May 18, 201312 yr I find it funny that Bonnie beat Cascada tbh. Denmark sounded a decent winner so glad they won. Didn't expect Germany to do that badly though. Big shock imo.
May 18, 201312 yr Thought it'd be worth posting the final standings for ease: 1 Denmark 281 2 Azerbaijan 234 3 Ukraine 214 4 Norway 191 5 Russia 174 6 Greece 152 7 Italy 126 8 Malta 120 9 The Netherlands 114 10 Hungary 84 11 Moldova 71 12 Belgium 71 13 Romania 65 14 Sweden 62 15 Georgia 51 16 Belarus 48 17 Iceland 47 18 Armenia 41 19 United Kingdom 23 20 Estonia 19 21 Germany 18 22 Lithuania 17 23 France 14 24 Finland 13 25 Spain 8 26 Ireland 5 Wow, Cascada really did flop - it seemed to fade in comparison to other dance songs, in fact if it wasn't by an act I was aware of, I would probably have forgotten it completely. Ooh and great to see Romania performing very decently *.* Did we award it any points ourselves? I wouldn't be surprised
May 18, 201312 yr http://press24.az/az/uploads/posts/2013-03/1363378796_ferid6.jpg To be honest, I thought he was fat, didn't realise he was a bodybuilder
May 18, 201312 yr Author All points were really going for the Top 9 so it's pretty loose at the bottom which is annoying.
May 18, 201312 yr I thought it was the worst Contest for a few years tbh. I really don't think there were any GREAT songs, Norway was probably our favourite. Denmark was OK-ish but pretty dull. I told the people I was watching with right before their performance that they were the heavy favourites, and when they'd finished, everyone just went "is that it?" I don't think they would've won if they were up against any of the winners from the past few years
May 18, 201312 yr Author Another Italian-speaking country is the ONLY one who snubbed the winner. But it's not Italy  http://cs540108.vk.me/c540100/v540100510/b60/ouF_iOSVBxA.jpg http://www.eurovision.tv/page/history/by-y...test?event=1773
May 18, 201312 yr So, that was a pretty special evening, Bonnie did about as well as I expected tbh, what a terrible result for Cascada :( everything else was great though! Back in Copenhagen now and the reception is muted. They're not as Eurovision crazy as Sweden clearly! Surprised they rushed things at the end, SVT obviously tried to pack too much in!
May 18, 201312 yr Cyprus also snubbed the winner, too busy voting for Greece :P I think you're reading the wrong column. Only San Marino did as far as I can tell.
May 19, 201312 yr Only just realised Ireland came last from the pimp slot. Has that ever happened before?
May 19, 201312 yr Ah yeah, I mixed up Cyprus' column with Denmark, and obviously Denmark can't vote for itself :P
May 19, 201312 yr Only just realised Ireland came last from the pimp slot. Has that ever happened before? I remember Finland and Spain performing in the last 2 positions in 2009, and both finished as the bottom 2 but the other way around (with Spain 24th and Finland 25th). Don't know if anyone has ever come last from the last position though!
May 19, 201312 yr Do you mean Eric? He was a bit of a twat but Petra was professional all the way and funny and brilliant. It was everything I could have expected from Sweden, they do know how to do stuff like this so very very well. No I mean the organization and the whole thing in general.
May 19, 201312 yr I enjoyed the staging, the beautiful presentation to the countries and general presentation overall really and most importantly Linda Woodruff went down AMAZINGLY with my group of friends (I knew they'd take to her, so no surprise really). Obviously a couple of glitches here and there, but that was inevitable and nothing too drastic, I thought. Really enjoyed it overall, but nothing grabbed my attention the way 'Euphoria' did/still does/forever will do etc... (THAT PERFORMANCE TONIGHT. *.* !!!!!!) but I thought overall the quality of the songs and performances was up from the strongest (behind LorQueen) of last year. Denmark was a nice enough song, but it really doesn't scream "winner" to me and I'm baffled as to how it won with ease. But like I said, the song was good (it's similar to Azerbaijan when they won). Wasn't upset with anything that came top 5 really, although Azerbaijan was the weakest out of the 5, they were all nice enough. Romania was batshit crazy amazing. But Greece were my second favourites of the night, behind Margaret Berger (who did very, VERY well!).
