Demi's actually moved up (due to Emmelie dropping) from the chart update then when she was #11 I think. I hope her album can stay in the top 10 until Sunday! Emmelie should be able to keep top 20 too hopefully.

We have the singles mid chart, Demi down to #10, StooShe down to #27 and non movers for the Saturdays.

MW database for the albums still a no show. There must be an error.

Oh, The Saturday's should actually climb this week then! Delighted.

From last week's top 40 singles chart we have lost Tich, 2 tracks from Gabrielle Aplin, her album is down to #10, BEPs, Birdy and Chris Brown.

Psy is #40 at present, if the Script single re-enters the top 40 on Sunday, we might say goodbye to Psy.

Caro Emerald's album is down to #9.

its 4 days of sales for Daft Punk's album, is it not? (Mon,Tue,Wed,Thur).

It is, but it's not technically incorrect to say they've sold 133k in the last 5 days.

What isn't Paramors'a album being boosted by the climb of their single?

Lana *so* close to T20...

Probably because the climbing of 'Still Into You' is more due to it being reduced to 59p than anything else. That wouldn't really affect demand for the album.

'Paramore' has actually beaten the initial top 40 run of 'Brand New Eyes' - that originally dropped out of the top 40 after just 4 weeks (1-3-20-37-45-...) whereas 'Paramore' has had 6 weeks there so far (1-6-13-22-29-30-...).

'Brand New Eyes' only had 7 weeks top 40 in total (re-entering for 3 weeks at the start of 2010 due to New Year's sales) so 'Paramore' will match that if it can hold on this week, which it did just about on the Wednesday update but I don't know where it is today. I forgot how poorly 'Brand New Eyes' did top 40 wise, similar to Calvin Harris' 'Ready For The Weekend' which I also seemed to remember doing far better than it did (although thankfully '18 Months' has done far, far better for him). 52 weeks top 100 to date for 'Brand New Eyes' though which I highly doubt 'Paramore' will match.

Get Lucky should get 100k AGAIN then? Amazing! And great sales for La La La too. Should get around the 140k mark at least I think.
not my favourite saturdays song but great to think that their first number one will at least reach double figures in weeks in the top 40
Everything crossed that Emmelie can hold on to the top 20. Her album should be having Daft Punk's sales TBQFH #hype
Singles

1 Naughty Boy/Sam Smith 108,492

2 Daft Punk/Pharrell Williams 90k

Wow, the album version has really boosted sales for 'Get Lucky'. :o

77k - 43k = 34k

108k - 90k = 18k

Amazing to think Daft Punk have caught up so quickly with the album version. Would be ecstatic now if 'Get Lucky' somehow did get another week at #1 - probably still won't happen, but the way they've caught up in 2 days is still remarkable.

That 90k figure is based entirely on the OCC saying it's now sold 'nearly 700k'. I think it's extremely unlikely it's on much higher than 70k.

(Unless I've missed some other source for their current sales).

You're almost spot on 69,951

Not going to manage another week over 100k then. :( Ah well, was only going to happen next week anyway. 25k away from 700k is definitely starting to stretch "nearly 700k" but is kind of acceptable for the OCC as they've said stranger stuff.

Well it only needs to improve on its Wed/Thu sales by ~3k for Friday and Saturday, with the weekend effect that could well be achievable. It'll be close though.

If Get Lucky does spend over five weeks at 100k, it will be the first song since Cher's Believe to do this.

How about 'It Wasn't Me' by Shaggy? I reckon that must've done 100k+ for at least 5 weeks - difficult to tell though purely because around that time there were massive sales at #1 for Westlife and Hear'Say (I've never recorded #2 sales).

I've also never recorded #2 sales. At a guess, I'd say that it spent three or four weeks above 100k, and I also think that Eminem's Stan spent either three or four weeks over 100k. I do know that Westlife's Uptown Girl sold 183k in their second week in the chart.
