Posted May 30, 201312 yr The lead single will be a cover version of "Titanium" :manson: I hope it flops, I can't have him ruining that song.
May 30, 201312 yr Oh my god. I like the guy, but that is a terrible choice of song to cover. :manson:
May 30, 201312 yr Author For those who don't believe me http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/s103/the...ever-fails.html 'X Factor' Jahmene Douglas announces debut album 'Love Never Fails' Jahmene Douglas has announced details of his debut studio album. The X Factor runner-up will release an album of cover versions titled Love Never Fails on July 22 via RCA. "Nicole knew this would be one of my favourite songs," said Douglas. "And when she sang it with me on the final it was like singing with my big sister. She's so incredibly talented. This song and Nicole ooze class." Douglas will release a cover version of David Guetta and Sia's 'Titanium' as the lead single. Other covers on the record include Coldplay's 'Fix You', Emeli Sandé's 'Next To Me' and Sarah McLachlan's 'Angel'. The full album tracklisting is as follows: 1. Fix You 2. May 30, 201312 yr I've not heard this, nor am I in a rush to hear this but what I will add is: "MAKE IT STOP!!!!!!!!!!111"
May 30, 201312 yr Am I the only one glad he's releasing a 'Titanium' cover? The whole things sounds like car crash central to me and I'm excited for it.
May 30, 201312 yr The lead single will be a cover version of "Titanium" :manson: I hope it flops, I can't have him ruining that song. Sadly he will ruin it whether it flops or not :P Luckily it will flop, it will just be some awful ballad or gospel arrangement that renders the song barely recognisable.
May 30, 201312 yr Sadly he will ruin it whether it flops or not :P Luckily it will flop, it will just be some awful ballad or gospel arrangement that renders the song barely recognisable. He's going to ruin every song that's included on this album. </3 I'm only looking forward to hearing Nicole. :heehee:
June 13, 201312 yr The video is out there for Titanium. It is obviously terrible and pretty much identical to his performance on X Factor.
June 14, 201312 yr I actually feel really sorry for him - I wasn't keen on him, but the label have so BLATENTLY put so little effort into him. At least Joe's first single as a cover was pretty much unknown, he stands no chance whatsoever now. I actually like his version of Titanium quite surprisingly.
June 14, 201312 yr This actually isn't as bad as I was expecting  He atleast seems to have learnt a modicum of vocal control since X Factor, and has largely dropped those awful screechy ad-libs. Echo what everyone else is saying about his record label totally screwing him over. The album will probably get to something like #8, drop out after a few weeks, and sell about 20k in total -- though that will still probably be enough to make him the second-best-selling album of the X Factor class of 2012. June 14, 201312 yr That's really not that bad, I'm glad he's not oversinging the song (like he did EVERY SINGLE WEEK on The X Factor with every song he was given). It's certainly not as fabulous as Sia's, but it still sounds very nice. I can feel the emotion in his voice.
June 14, 201312 yr It's still a bit shit but much less awful than I expected, just very dull and just 'there'. This is a song that needs much more than that, but at least it isn't as terrible as it seemed on paper.
June 15, 201312 yr Horrible, he shouldn't have been a finalist on X Factor to start with. Edited June 15, 201312 yr by rafik4u
June 16, 201312 yr Another reality TV artist releasing an album full of cover versions which shows a distinct lack of effort and creativity. Its likely to flop miserably. Edited June 16, 201312 yr by slowdown73
June 16, 201312 yr Am I the only one glad he's releasing a 'Titanium' cover? The whole things sounds like car crash central to me and I'm excited for it. Oh I kind of am as well. It's Marcus all over again, could even do worse than Marcus. (Incidentally since when is there an accent over the 'e' in 'Jahméne'?) Edited June 16, 201312 yr by Bré
June 16, 201312 yr Several things wrong with this. It's too soon to release a cover of that song. Secondly, they should have just left it as a piano-ballad instead of bringing in the drums at 1:20. And they should have picked a song that wasn't already a shouty song (ps I do love the original). Edited June 16, 201312 yr by AnthonyT
