I think Another Love will stick around for ages now, be top 20 for weeks - I'm sure it'll squeeze a couple of weeks in the lower regions of the top 10, but I think it'll sell well - it'll be used as backing tracks on every TV programme, you can just tell.

I mean it will be performed again in the final and will be pushed as winners single, it wouldn't surprise me if it went top 2/3 again on Sunday.

I'm still counting on Leah covering Minnie Riperton's "Loving You" again in the final - would like to own a copy of that. As for her winner's single, it shouldn't be "I Will Survive" - it's already received a lot of 'press' from it's chart success etc.; though you could argue the show might want to just keep the momentum going with that one track and generate some decent sales.

 

Over the moon that Tom Odell is currently in the UK iTunes Top 10. It was a real injustice for "Hold Me" to miss out on the T40 like it did, so it's great to see "Another Love" (which in itself is more-or-less a re-release) doing so well. I'd happily see it become a long-running, played-to-death-by-radio track if it means Odell's album sells well next week and people begin to appreciate this year's critics' choice winner.

Not every song that gets a video is a single. That video would have been to promote the EP rather than the song - his first actual single was 'Can't Pretend'.

I thought this today, Leanne Mitchell did Run To You in the final as her favourite performance and obviously that was her winner's single so it's possible that the same will happen with either I Will Survive, Lovin' You or Killing Me Softly. It's mad Will doesn't just write/produce a song for her or something though!
