June 20, 201312 yr Has K Ro actually released her album this week or is it flopping tremendously? But then she did flop with her last album despite X Factor... Yes, she's just flopping. I didn't even know she had a new album until I saw it flailing in the low top 100 on iTunes on Monday - she hasn't had a hit single in ages, no wonder she's doing poorly.
June 20, 201312 yr I don't know if they've really bothered to even push her singles. It seems more like a "well, we may as well" release, as she seems to be focusing entirely on the US now.
June 20, 201312 yr I don't know if they've really bothered to even push her singles. It seems more like a "well, we may as well" release, as she seems to be focusing entirely on the US now. Funnily enough, her US career is much worse than the UK's.
June 20, 201312 yr Her last album actually sold more than 5 copies over there (unlike here!), but you're correct! They seemed to take 'Motivation' doing well over there as a sign to push her as much as possible but it's really not going to happen. Unfortunately female RnB really is absolutely bolloxed over there, but then generic dance didn't exactly push many albums for her over here either :P
June 21, 201312 yr Author Kanye West is #1, mids are in, give me some time to edit, not the best chart format to read.
June 21, 201312 yr Author Midweek Charts update: Kanye heading for No 1 Source: MW by Paul Willams Kanye West's mid-week released Yeezus looks poised to become his second UK No 1 album this weekend. The Def Jam/Virgin EMI set was only issued in the UK on Wednesday, but has now taken control of the week's artist albums market with a lead of around 3,000 sales over its nearest rival, according to the Official Charts Company. If it does debut at the top it will become the artist's second No 1 in the UK following Graduation in 2007. Kodaline's B-Unique/RCA debut In A Perfect World is showing up as a new entry at 2 in the midweeks with the Vertigo/Virgin EMI set 13 by Black Sabbath down to 3, having debuted at No 1 last Sunday. Rod Stewart's Capitol/Decca album Time drops 3-4 as Nettwerk act Passenger's All The Little Lights lifts 8-5, while there are new entries at 6 and 7 respectively for Columbia/Roc Naton's J Cole and XL-signed Sigur Ros. Interscope/Polydor act Robin Thicke has widened his lead at the top of the midweek singles chart with Blurred Lines featuring TI and Pharrell Williams. With sales already this week of 92,093 units, it is set to shift more than 100,000 copies for the fourth consecutive week and by the end of trading on Thursday was exactly 20,000 sales ahead of nearest rival The Other Side by Warner Bros's Jason Derulo. Virgin act Naughty Boy's La La La featuring Sam Smith drops 2-3 as the Nettwerk-issued Let Het Go by Passenger slips 3-4. Dirtee Skank/Island act Dizzee Rascal's Goin' Crazy with Robbie Williams is new at 5 at this stage in the week. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Friday Update Top 40 Only Singles 1 Robin Thicke/T.I./Pharrell (92,093) 2 Jason Derulo (72k) 3 Naughty Boy/Sam Smith 4 Passenger 5 Dizzie Rascal/Robbie Williams Top 10 10 Tom Odell Top 15 12 Arctic Monkeys Top 20 Top 30 24 London Grammar 25 Bastille Top 40 34 Kodaline 35 Remix Junkies 36 Ke$ha/will.i.am 37 Leah McFall [Killing Me Softly] 40 Rudimental/John Newman ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Albums 1 Kanye West (3k ahead) 2 Kodaline 3 Black Sabbath 4 Rod Stewart 5 Passenger Top 10 6 J. June 21, 201312 yr Author And for some reson we have a top 42 in the albums  not really bothered with that, I just wish we had a top 100. The biggest fallers in the albums are Beady Eye down to #13 And Boards Of Canada down to #35 :o OUCH
June 21, 201312 yr And for some reson we have a top 42 in the albums  not really bothered with that, I just wish we had a top 100. Could Kanye be the first #1 album on downloads alone (I haven't seen a physical CD round here)?
June 21, 201312 yr I don't know if they've really bothered to even push her singles. It seems more like a "well, we may as well" release, as she seems to be focusing entirely on the US now. I hate it when they do that - it's so disrespectful of overseas fans. :(
June 21, 201312 yr Yeezus :cheer: Get that #1! (@ vidcapper apparently the CD for 'Yeezus' is out in the UK but I'm sure it'll beat Bastille's digital % for a #1 album). Sigur Rós dropping behind J. Cole is both surprising and slightly annoying. Hope they don't fall too much more over the week. All for J. Cole smashing as well though. Arctic Monkeys far higher than I thought they'd be today, looks like they actually could get top 10 especially as they're still #4 on iTunes :o And it looks like Remix Chix haven't been combined to Remix Junkies despite being the exact same recording. 'Love Like This' climbing and 'Killing Me Softly' nearly out :cheer:
June 21, 201312 yr I hate it when they do that - it's so disrespectful of overseas fans. :( What's the point though? Capital FM will never play any of her songs. She actually has a career in the US now thanks to Motivation.
June 21, 201312 yr Last minute boost on The Voice tomorrow night should be enough to keep Leah McFall T40 with "Killing Me Softly" (#37). Looks like Tom Odell could end up at #11 now. #10 in the update with Arctics behind at #12. All depends on the gap between them really.
June 21, 201312 yr Really ecstatic for Yeezus, quite easily my album of the year so far. Wonder if Black Skinheads can sneak into the top 40 now. Ke$ha slowly climbing up there too, i guess and hope C'mon was just a one off then (as the only song of her's to miss the top 40 here).
June 21, 201312 yr Could Kanye be the first #1 album on downloads alone (I haven't seen a physical CD round here)? A physical has been released - I saw it in HMV on Wednesday. It has no cover, but has a sticker on the back with the tracklist and credits. A bit of a lazy effort if you ask me...
June 21, 201312 yr A physical has been released - I saw it in HMV on Wednesday. It has no cover, but has a sticker on the back with the tracklist and credits. A bit of a lazy effort if you ask me... Probably another reason why there will be a higher percentage of downloads for the album then! :P
June 21, 201312 yr Damn Kanye West, :( i want Kodaline at number 1. Olly Murs back in the top 10 albums :cheer:
June 21, 201312 yr Probably another reason why there will be a higher percentage of downloads for the album then! :P I'm always discouraged from buying a physical album if, say, it only has a cardboard cover, or other drawback like no lyrics, etc.
