Yep, that's perfect!! :D Except The Wanted are down to 84.1% a drop of -0.2% :kink:

I thought the Wanted would drop fairly quickly, but after less than a day? That is very surprising :o

Oops, fixed.

The Wanted were very frontloaded though. They entered in at #5 due to pre-orders. We'll get a better picture of how they are holding up/selling tomorrow. Hopefully they will drop a bit more tonight though. :kink:

Yeah they are! Even Jason who had a similarly successful pre-order didn't start stalling until the Monday night if I remember correctly, so its very surprising to me if The Wanted have stalled already. Like you say, tomorrow will be very interesting as well as the next and final update tonight!

#03 would be a VERY pleasing income for The Wanted, although their show starts on E! this week, maybe it would help the song out a little?

If The Wanted have stalled, then they are going to struggle to make 100k after all which I expected. But it could end up as low as 80k possibly which would surprise me! That all depends if they have stalled yet or if it is just a blip.
Looking at the Kworb update, if The Wanted are already in light red maybe Icona Pop and Will.I.Am will both overtake them. I'd be more than happy to see 'Walks Like Rihanna' enter at #4 next Sunday.

I still think Icona Pop will get, if not Tuesday, they get there by Weds, as Dandy said EP sales are yet to be added as well. Icona Pop could be #2 by the morning.

I wonder if casual music fans are responding like this:

"Icona Pop? Pahahaha, what a daft name for a fake artist. Why are these asshats releasing a fake version of Remix Junkies amazing song?"

I do think that some people will look at tne name Icona Pop and think 'oh yet another fake.'

Bang Bang for top 3 this week please! It would mean that The Wanted would enter in at #4 though; could never see that happening.
Big enough chart battle this week so sales should be once again great, im getting used of these big seling number 1's now, id love such high sales to last all the time, out of them all though Icona Pop is who id like to see number 1 this week, i hope the Wanted miss the top 3 or by a miracle miss the top 5 as i think it is a terrible single.

I think the consensus seems to be iTunes is a rolling 48 hour chart which counts more recent sales more (so Icona Pop may not have actually sold 77% of what Robin has in the past 48 hours, they may have just sold 70% or so but are outselling him massively in the past 24 hours or something).

will.i.am is far too far ahead of the rest of the pack to possibly end up low top 10. I think he's a lock for top 5 and might actually keep The Wanted out of the top 3 :o

Yeah, as you say, it must be weighted towards more recent sales. So Icona Pop may be on 80% now, but even if they sell at the same rate tomorrow it doesn't mean they'll be on 160%, because a sale from 47 hours ago contributes less to a pop bar than a sale from 1 hour ago.

That's how The Wanted are already dropping, since they have a LOT of sales all at once from 24 hours ago which are gradually getting subtracted. If the chart wasn't weighted, we would see songs like this instead having massive drops exactly 48 hours after their release.

Yeah that's a good point. It must be weighted towards the most recent sales as like you say, the songs that had single pre-orders would suddenly drop by 30% whatever in one update!

Icona Pop  2

This seems to be gaining faster and faster, pretty sure it'll be number 1 by late morning.

:cheer:

Once it hits #1 I think it's going to pull away a bit. I think the #1 effect will help the song a lot. :)

Yeah exactly. If it was un-weighted we'd get a "rolling effect" where songs which get a big sudden increase would a get big sudden drop later on.

Top 10 Popularity Update (not combining multiple versions)

The number in brackets shows popularity change since the last update. I know the percentages are "real" etc. (we had this conversation when I did this many months ago), it just shows a difference without having to do complicated calculations to work out "real" percentage increases.

:left: 01. 100% (0.0%) Robin Thicke - Blurred Lines (feat. T.I. & Pharrell)

 02. 84.2% (+6.7%) Icona Pop - I Love It (feat. Charli XCX)

 03. 84.0% (-0.1%) The Wanted - Walks Like Rihanna

:left: 04. 78.0% (+2.7%) will.i.am - Bang Bang

:left: 05. 55.7% (+0.3%) Naughty Boy - La La La (feat. Sam Smith)

:left: 06. 50.6% (+0.3%) Passenger - Let Her Go

:left: 07. 48.4% (+0.4%) Jason Derulo - The Other Side

:left: 08. 40.3% (+0.3%) Dizzee Rascal - Goin' Crazy (feat. Robbie Williams)

I'm quite surprised that Will.i.am will get top 4 with ' Bang Bang ', I wonder if The Wanted continue declining the way they are on iTunes if he could manage a top 3 with 'Bang Bang', although I'm sure Will.i.am will start declining rapidly tomorrow.
