She hasn't had a hit there, but I'd easily say she's more famous in the US than the UK.

Katy B needs to climb faster and Sebastian Ingrosso needs to slow down.

I agree with this, she is. And with the same level of promotion/payola she had in the UK so far she'd probably have a top 50 hit on Billboard which for a lot of people means more than a #17 or something in the UK :/

I think a lot of it is because she only signed with a US major label after Work was already out, Bounce isnt even being released there. Hopefully Island Def Jam will start doing things right with her next single Change Your Life over there :)

They're doing things right with her current single imo. Work is already top 100 in the rhythmic chart. If Change Your Life is a hit in the US, it probably won't be until the end of this year.

173. Sneakbo - Ring a Ling (feat. Wiley, Krept & Konan) [Play Hard Remix]

Krept & Konan got famous in 2011. They released a remix of Oits by Jay-Z/Kanye on Youtube, and it went viral and got millions of views. Then got deleted for copyright infringement (Ouch). But I knew ever since then I'd see them in the chart one day.

its weird how it can usually take so long for a song to become a hit in the US (like Blurred Lines  )

It's only Katy Perry, Rihanna, Britney Spears, etc. that get their songs to become hits straight away. Everything else takes months (sometimes over a year) before they get big. Blurred Lines became a hit quite quickly in comparison to a lot of songs!

A lot of fans of the big pop stars don't really appreciate it, but with most artists you have to wait like 6 months before their songs get sent to radio.

 1. Blurred Lines

Ouch at Jonas Brothers' new song not going top 1500  Personally, I think it is dreadful anyway.

Jonas Brothers was released a couple of weeks ago. It reached around #67 then quickly fell. :)

218. Miley Cyrus - We Can't Stop.

Depending on airplay support from Radio1/Capital I think this will easily go top 3! It's pre-order has been doing incredibly well.

'Blurred Lines' is on over 870K and it's just went back to #1. :o

It's time we make way for the new best-selling digital song of all-time!

Newman dethroned cry.

Glasvegas still exist? Hard to believe as recent ago as 2008 they got 2 top 20 hits.

I take it you missed their previous single 'I'd Rather Be Dead (Than Be With You)' then? They're as lively and full of joy as ever.

There's that Cruise song by Florida Georgia Line and Nelly floating around which only just got in the top 5 but it's been out since August I think. It's absolutely terrible, thank god it's country and won't cross over here  But I can think of loads of songs that took ages to take off over there, Before He Cheats by Carrie Underwood is one of my all time faves and took something like 38 weeks to reach the top 10! And there's us thinking it was amazing when Gotye took a few weeks to reach the top 10 over here.

Yeah, exactly. Especially with country songs, they only get sent to mainstream ages after they've got released.

Cruise's chart run in the US: 99-86-76-72-59-48-45-43-34-29-24-20-18-16-17 -16-17-20-22-19-23-30-37-38-42-46-X-8-11-14-13-9-10-6-5-5-5-6-4-6

Radioactive by Imagine Dragons had a really slow climb up the chart too.

But it's not even that, in so many cases the songs are around for ages before even charting in the first place. Can't Hold Us came out in summer 2011 for example. Imagine how long fans of that song had to wait for it to get big. Or even UK examples recently, like Bingo Players and Fuse ODG. Those songs were popular back in 2012, but only got pushed to the mainstream this year. I Could Be the One I heard months before it was ever played on the radio as well.

05. Lawson Feat B.o.b - Brokenhearted [i doubt this will climb any higher than #05]
