July 23, 201311 yr Poor ' Meet Me Halfway ', fully supporting ' Big Girls Don't Cry' now. Fantastic host btw :D
July 23, 201311 yr If 'Shut Up' wins this, I will actually die. Have I mentioned before that it's my all time favourite song?
July 23, 201311 yr Hopefully Shut Up will win out of these two. I'm not surprised it's so high, it seems to be a well-liked track. I'm more surprised about Big Girls Don't Cry, seemed like a lot of people hated it from overplay.
July 24, 201311 yr Ooh never thought Shut Up would be top 2, my fave song in the entire countdown. I think BGDC will win though.
July 24, 201311 yr Author 02. http://i41.tinypic.com/343kt1z.png BIG GIRLS DON’T CRY [8.824 points] agrXgrAgQ0U UK PEAK: 2 US PEAK: 1 LIKE: 11 NickF1, Rob Summers, SceneofSIXCrimes, Jonjo, Liam, gooddelta, Simon., kenukscf, Eyes, THEO., Mikal, O Mie d’Bartoli, Warluke 10 Jack, Griff, Wall, Jark, Lukuzz, HausofKubrick DISLIKE: 5 Mariah Scary, Hitstastic 2 x Leww x Yes, this is a bit of a shock isn’t it :o. It had the most 11s out of all the songs but it wasn’t enough to reach the top spot. I thought it was pretty clear that this would win when I set up the rate as well as when I was counting up the rates so I was very shocked when seeing the results. Anyway, more of the surprise winner later… Big Girls Don’t Cry was released as the fourth single (third here) and sees Fergie explore a more laidback pop sound rather than the hip-hop sound of the previous singles. It is her biggest selling single in the US, selling nearly 4 million copies and becoming her third Number One. It charted for nearly a year on the Hot 100 and it was also a big success and radio hit over here. It is arguably her most remembered solo single which is easy to understand and I do think that it deserves to be high on this rate. However, I am happy that it wasn’t Number One as I don’t think it is the absolute best song associated with the group.
July 24, 201311 yr Author In an ideal world 'Shut Up' would win, it's my favourite song of all time. beep or shut up to win. 'Shut Up' or 'Big Girls Don't Cry' to win! Shut Up is my fave of theirs so I'm glad that is top 5 although I have a feeling it'll be out next. Out of these two Shut Up to win bye Want: Shut Up Hopefully Shut Up will win out of these two. I'm not surprised it's so high, it seems to be a well-liked track. Your wish is my command :magic: Your Number One Black Eyed Peas song is Shut Up! 01. http://i40.tinypic.com/2qdrgk0.png SHUT UP [8.941 points] KRzMtlZjXpU UK PEAK: 2 LIKE: 11 x Leww x, Salt Without GMO, Juranamo, Chez Wombat, Lukuzz, Warluke 10 NickF1, Griff, Mariah Scary, Simon., Eyes 9.5 Jonjo 9 Jack, SceneofSIXCrimes, #Thermometer, Krusty111, Wall, THEO., Jark, Mikal, HausofKubrick DISLIKE?: 6 Atonement, Hitstastic, O Mie d’Bartoli I never saw this coming at all but I’m guessing it benefited from receiving the highest low scores and a high number of scores from 7-11. It is nice to see an actual BEP song win their rate though and the song is quite inoffensive when compared to many of their other hits. It was the follow up to the hugely successful Where is the Love? and makes more use of newcomer (at the time) Fergie who takes the lead. It should be merited with the fact that it stopped the group from being a one-hit wonder so perhaps it is appropriate that it’s Number One here as it helped to secure the foundations for where the group is now. Fergie brought a new aspect to the group as they could now explore the two different sides in a relationship and this is something they often used in future songs/singles. Since I completed my rate, I have realised that I should have increased mine from an 8 to a 9, even if it wouldn't have made that much difference! The song actually never charted in the US which may be surprising to many (it was to me when I just found that out ). It has still managed to sell over 500,000 copies there though. July 24, 201311 yr Shut Up :cheer: What a great winner, much preferable to BGDC. Thanks Rabbit for hosting this :D I remember at the time when this came out and I was thinking "this is a LOT better than Where Is the Love" so it is great to see that it has aged well. It's not their best though, in my opinion Boom Boom Pow should've won but I knew that wouldn't happen.

July 24, 201311 yr I used to love Shut Up back in the day and its aged quite well. Not something I expected to win, but a wonderful winner nonetheless, its by far the best thing in the top 5 - Fergie in general is really overrated as a soloist, she's clearly talented, but most of her material is average at best. Big Girls Don't Cry seems tailor made for what it is rather than genuine emotion. I actually altered my rate to make it less harsh, oops! What can I say, they evoke quite a strong reaction in me! July 24, 201311 yr 26 | Heartbreaker (feat Cheryl Cole) | 6.172 Shouldn't this be coloured orange like all of the other singles with will.i.am as the lead artist?

July 24, 201311 yr I didn't vote in this, so gag me if you will, but how is 'Rock That Body' so low?! Easily my favourite song they've done, with a robust, fierce sound that the other singles of that era just don't have. Or it's probably just me as it did flop in comparison. AH WELL. 'Shut Up' is an acceptable champion.
July 24, 201311 yr A very frustrating band. Some of the worst songs in the history of the Universe - The Time, I Got a Feeling.... Some interesting stuff - Boom Boom Power, Rock that Body And some funky cool stuff - Don't Funk with My Heart, Shut Up, Let's Get It Started

July 25, 201311 yr I still can't believe 'Clumsy' "only" finished 22nd :( Deserved to be top 10! But very good winner (even if I'd personally prefer the runner up to win) and a sterling job hosting Rabbit!
