Oh my. American Girl is probably the most personality-free song I've heard all year. Cliché upon cliché upon cliché wrapped in a beige utterly forgettable bitch with lackluster vocal abilities and a beige turd-shaped piece of fried cheese on top.

 

Shame because I've been rather liking Aquafina's songs lately.

I HONESTLY don't see what's so good about Run On Love. As people said, the breakdown is too tame and the whole thing feels a bit 'erm okay was that all? bye'. It'd seem like a total letdown to follow last month's lackluster winner.

One person already tried pulling a nul-pointer but I was in their Semifinal and gave that song 1 point. I'm not in Semi 2 this time so hopefully someone else will continue my legacy :cry:

Vanbot was always destined to win BJSC with SOMETHING and you feel like Tove's win is waiting to happen at some point too, if not this month.

 

Shame it never really happened for Tove Styrke, White Light Moment was clearly the BJSC winner that never was.

I can only hope! I've already seen a lot of comments that insinuate Run On Love is being hugely overrated - so we may have to wait for Tove's first win in that case :lol: And, I completely agree @ White Light Moment - was that deemed cheap immediately from it's premiere or vetoed or what, I forget?

 

It picked up 10. 7 for being on Scandipop and 3 for recycling.

Semi 2 is seriously SYNTH BREAKDOWN OVERLOAD towards the end (although I guess I'm kinda part of that too oops), a lot of tracks start blending into one another. A lot of countries I don't normally vote for sent some really good stuff this month, although there were only five really good songs here plus one track that should remind everyone that this country is an INSPIRATION TO YOU ALL *.*
