Looks like we are very close to a first single as apparently, according to another ATRL poster, Dr. Luke did a similar thing with Britney's 'Hold It Against Me' where he mentioned the first letter, then he kept tweeting a few words from the song.

We haven't had a summer without a Katy Perry song since she started, so I wouldn't be surprised!

Hopefully she releases her new song by the end of august at least. Preferably the 26th as that week is very much low on big releases.

OOOOOOH, I was speaking today with my friends about needing new Katy material, glad she's sticking to a similar formula to last time with Dr. Luke, but I have no doubts she'll still have developed her sound as she did from OOTB to Teenage Dream.

It's rumoured the lead COULD (not definite) be 'Rainbow', the song she wrote with Sia, which was previously entitled 'Double Rainbow' - all just rumours though, and I'm getting excitedddddd.

Another rumour : It is appearently called Roar (not sure how reliable this is)

According to Popjustice, Bonnie McKee has said in an interview released today that she has just found out "she has the first single", so it looks like the first single will be produced by Dr. Luke too! This would therefore rule out (Double) 'Rainbow' being the single which is a Sia song.

The demo Born Yesterday that's going round written and sung by Sia sounds great, I'd rather not have a demo I've already heard but something like that would be good for on the album at least (maybe not a single). So excited though!

I'm gonna need this rumour to be true.

Obviously it'd be much better than Blow, cos naturally Katy is a Queen, Ke$ha is not.

God, I hope the rumour about it sounding like Kesha is not true. :drama: One of her main selling-points is that she's one of the few popstars in recent years who's been releasing songs that actually have proper melodies amid all the "club bangers" dross.
