September 9, 201311 yr I'm surprised this has even added two pages since last night's episode, it's such a shit series. Although, those pairings look really good seeing as though everyone is paired with someone that they don't like/don't get on with the least.
September 9, 201311 yr Has anyone else seen that the National Trust are opening up the house for tours for two days at the end of the month? http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/loca...-and-do/london/ My friend has bagged us two tickets for the Saturday. :D
September 9, 201311 yr I can completely appreciate what Vicky is trying to say, but she's been so condescending and patronising to Charlotte just because of those stupid whispers that Lauren apparently saw her family? Charlotte is completely right to be defending Lauren, they are all equal and Lauren isn't getting 'preferential treatment'. I do think Charlotte got aggressive and a bit immature shouting at Vicky and walking off, but Vicky's 'I'm older than you so therefore you can't say anything to me' is too much. She's acting like she's Beyonce or something just because she was a great character on a soap for however many years :/ 'Don't call me she I'm 45 years old, I deserve more respect' well act like it then... 'Vicky's a stupid gremlin'
September 9, 201311 yr It was actually quite an interesting arguement/discussion until Charlotte took it a step to far with the insults. I actually think Vicky was talking complete sense to Louie even though she's gone abit OTT with the Charlotte digs since then - at least she's proving she has at least something small to offer the series finally. I didn't really agree with Charlotte saying that Lauren shouldn't have been considered for the show given her condition either because the whole point of the show is to see how such drastically different people interact.
September 9, 201311 yr I think you missed the point Liam (or I did, one or the other!) but I thought Charlotte was saying Lauren shouldn't have seen her mum or have been allowed in if she couldn't cope... and I do think it's bad manners of Charlotte to shout the things she did at Vicky, I would never have told someone in their 40s to just shut up in such a blunt fashion when I was her age. I didn't think Vicky was saying "I'm right because I'm older" either, she was just saying that Charlotte shouldn't be so rude directly to her. In fact, didn't she ask her to come back over and talk it through sensibly instead?
September 9, 201311 yr Author Oh please grow the f*** up, Charlotte. :manson: Yeah, it's OK having a little cry because you didn't get a letter, and some of the others did, but there's a fine line between that and throwing your dummy as far away from the pram as you can. She only really got to me when she started trying to shout as loud as she could just to try and drown out Vicky's (very valid) point, and when she does that it just puts me right off her. It seems the only thing she's good for is raising her voice and trying to be the loudest person there. No wonder she's not favourite to win any more... Completely understand what Vicky was saying, and she's 100% correct about Charlotte (seems Carol's not the only one to think she's just a 'slag', oops). If that's the kind of girl who's setting an example for everybody who watches shows like Geordie Shore; somebody who constantly goes on about how she shits herself and pisses herself, and has sex, is sick, etc, then she's probably partly to blame for girls who will think that's amazing and the normal thing to do and end up f***ing up their lives in exactly the same way. Disgusting. Vicky's values are quite old-fashioned, but they're so true.

I didn't really agree with Charlotte saying that Lauren shouldn't have been considered for the show given her condition either because the whole point of the show is to see how such drastically different people interact. But she shouldn't be able to see her family because that is completely the opposite of the point of the show. So, I can see why Charlotte got a bit annoyed, especially when Vicky was talking to her in such a patronising tone. She spoke to Louis AND Carol in a really patronising, 'I know better than you do' tone also. I think Charlotte did kinda overreact at the end then and Vicky wasn't exactly being thick so I don't agree with her for that. I think it all boils down to Charlotte being upset about not getting her letter, she wouldn't have reacted that way if she had received it. I think she was already upset about that and the smallest thing Vicky did (someone who she's never seen exactly eye to eye with) was going to tip her over the edge immediately.

Disgusting. Vicky's values are quite old-fashioned, but they're so true. I agree with most of that but i have an issue with this whole "slag" thing, it's just underhand and Charlotte might not be the best role model but she's probably on the show to dispel that image she's managed to get (and for the most part she's proven herself to be pleasant but these erratic moments don't help i suppose). Vicky was just as bad as her in the garden but it did spiral out of control from Charlotte's first "THICK" outburst when they were actually all being civilised before that. But during those moments when we were all saying "they should get Lauren out without an audience" etc surely the most important thing is her sanity/peace of mind. Screw the rules if it means that one of the contestants can get back to normality, because she really was spiralling out of control and it seems she's leveled out now (we won't know for sure but that could have been because she saw her family or the doctor or whatever). Charlotte's opinion on not letting Lauren in the house in the first place was pretty misguided and i'm sure if Lauren heard that being said about her she would have been devastated. It's natural that they'd be annoyed at not receiving their letters but a bit of compassion for those that have received/seen their family wouldn't go amiss.

Then Big Brother is no longer the same show, I'm afraid. I do really like Lauren and there was a period of time where we were all saying 'she needs to be evicted, she's not sane' - that would be within the rules. The show is completely losing itself when it openly lets housemates see their family, it goes entirely against the premise of the show. Charlotte's point was 100% accurate - Lauren has got to see her parents, the others haven't, that puts her on a pedestal. I'm pretty sure they have to have psychological checks before they go into the house, if Lauren's "sanity" wasn't in check, then no, she shouldn't be in a show/situation like this at all, it's only fair.
September 9, 201311 yr To be honest, both overreacted and both of them didn't come out of it well. I'm interested to know where this 'Lauren got to see her parents' came from' because it must have come from somewhere. But I do agree on the aspect of the outside contact. Nowadays, Big Brother has too much of it and it really spoils the show and has ruined the main goal of it. The premise of Big Brother has always been that the housemates are locked away with any outside contact. Nowadays, this is broken every week. Edited September 9, 201311 yr by ConnorVICKERS
September 9, 201311 yr I agree that neither of them came out well, but this whole 'she's just a slag' thing is nasty and horrible imo. She doesn't claim to be a lady or a great role model, she's only young and she's living her life and having fun, which is all she wants and all she claims to be and claims to do. At the end of the day, I agree with parts of what both of them said so I'm not fully on either side and both of them could have made their points in a much better way. Vicky without her old fashioned 'I'm an elder' attitude and Charlotte without being immature and kicking off like that although I get she's upset over it. Agreed on the outside contact/info too. Letters from home are fine but what I really don't agree with is that they know a lot of the time who got the most votes and who was almost evicted (of course they don't know the % so whoever is 2nd from last in the vote could be 10% in front but still) when really they should just say 'the nth person to be evicted from the Big Brother house is...' each time, straight away. I quite like the idea in some ways (for example it gives housemates like Gina or Lauren a bit of a boost to know the public like them when it's the opposite on the inside and they're always up for eviction, but the house shouldn't all know who was where in the vote at all. It's a small thing but it really annoys me that they know so much.
September 9, 201311 yr I actually think people are very quick to call her a 'slag' because she speaks about sex. If they watched Geordie Shore, they'd see she's actually only had sex with like 3 guys across 6 series. She had sex with Gaz a lot of times, but she had strong feelings for him. You're not a slag for having sex with someone you fancy. She's also in a relationship, not sleeping around. And she's certainly not had sex inside the house, so she's done nothing in the house to warrant being called a slag. People are very judgmental of her, often imo, without knowing much of a back story - just jumping to the conclusion that she's a slag because she talks openly about sex. Welcome to 2013, people do that, it's not rare.
September 9, 201311 yr God, Vicky is such a condescending old hag. Hopefully she and smug nuggets Mario go on Wednesday.
September 10, 201311 yr Author Why do people continually keep referring to Vicky as an "old hag" when she does something that you deem out of order, or call Carol an "old bag" when she speaks her mind, and you don't like it? Honestly do not understand it AT ALL. OMFG SHE SAID SOMETHING BAD THAT AUTOMATICALLY MAKES HER AN OLD HAG!!!!!!!1

Let people say it if they wish too, after all speaking your mind is an "admirable quality" :kink: It's just being really rude, though. It's pressing me as much as you think it is because there's really no need for it at all. One quick comment from either of them and all of you automatically start calling them "old hags" or "old bags". It's just disgusting. Edited September 10, 201311 yr by Calum Sandé
September 10, 201311 yr Well yeah, got to have some respect for the only one in there who's not afraid to say what's actually on her mind, or tell people what she thinks of them. Admirable quality. Simple observation, wouldn't you say? You can't really help being truthful about the observations you're making, and if you don't like them. People may disagree with what she's saying, but that's just the way it is. It's just being really rude, though. It's pressing me as much as you think it is because there's really no need for it at all. One quick comment from either of them and all of you automatically start calling them "old hags" or "old bags". It's just disgusting. Look above mah child. THAT'S JUST THE WAY IT IS. IT'S A SIMPLE OBSERVATION. VOICING AN OPINION IS AN ADMIRABLE QUALITY. I think your love towards Carol (and subsequent hatred towards Charlotte) is blinding you. There's also no need for them to call Charlotte a slag one by one but yeah Carol thinks so so it's automatically admirable. YAWN YAWN YAWN Edited September 10, 201311 yr by STR8 WARRIOR
September 10, 201311 yr Vicky to win after last nights show... what a star. That Charlotte thing is a disgrace.
September 10, 201311 yr Yeah, why is 'old hag' completely unacceptable but 'fat slag/Geordie slag' are hilarious to you? It's complete double standards based on who's said it.
