I kind of wish iTunes would have a separate chart for studio albums & compilation albums.

It suddenly hit me at 2am last night that Britney had released her album on her birthday, emphasising the 'personal' touch. :P
I'm expecting

04. Rebecca

08. Leona

14. Britney

No4 when there are 1D, Robbie , Gary and Rich&Ad around?

Is she even expected to do better than Eminem's 40k? Perhaps I am underestimating her, but hell I don't even know who she is!

YASSSS BRITNEY JEANSUS!

Really hoping it can land a top ten debut!

I think her debut opened with 120k+ and is a big seller. I can see her opening with about 80k!
Bubles Xmas album the no1 artist album on iTunes now 3 years after release - fair play if that reflects the physical market he could sell another 200k or so this yr - pretty unbelievable!

He has 2 of his songs playing in adverts to be fair. But definitely impressive still! :)

One is an Iceland ad

I cannot remember what the other was.

Bubles Christmas album could pass the 2 million mark this year and i think he will also do well with it next year. I wonder why people have connected with this Christmas so much, in general Christmas albums dont do great but Buble has just smashed it. I can see his record company pushing him to make a new Christmas album at some point, next year could be the year to do it.

I think the top 3 will be all non movers this week, Rebeeca Ferguson will achieve number 5 at best but i think it will end the week at number 7, still a respectable performance. I hope Olly Murs can stay top 10 this week again.

I think because Buble has produced a top class xmas album in the old swing style of the 40/50s (like Sinatra/Cosby) and he is known for this style whereas Mariah in the 90s wasnt known for this she was a pop artist!

He's made a couple Christmas EPs before. I don't think they should make him release another Christmas album, they should just keep promoting his current one. I think his songs are going to be used on Christmas adverts for years to come which will help too. Quite nice to see such a strong album seller in the current market. :)

Also, Leona's Christmas, With Love is holding steady at #6 on iTunes still. Quite surprised, but happy, that it's holding on so well. The other new releases are all starting to fall.

Edit: Leona's album  to #5, the highest it's been! #3 once you take out compilation albums. ^_^

No sign of The Saturdays!

Leona Lewis - Christmas, With Love  to #3. Technically #1 once you take out the compilation albums ahead of it! :D
But wasn't Leona high on iTunes last week too, but still entered at #25?

She wasn't, no. She was generally #4-#5 overall (once you take out the compilation albums). The fact she's the #1 studio album, over Bublé too, is a good sign! :)

It's closer to Christmas, and promo and airplay has picked up, so I think Leona will enter the top 15/10 this Sunday in the album charts.
So, she was pretty high then lol.

But there was a bigish gap bewteen her and Bublé. The fact she's overcome it, despite him getting a boost form the show yesterday too, is a good sign. He was #10 on the album chart last week.
