I'd say it WILL be back to back wins. I'd say this also means that Lesnar will not enter the Rumble as I'm guessing they would have had him win it to set up a WM32 rematch between him and Reigns otherwise. This way they can have anyone they like face Reigns at WM32 instead of having to stick with the Rumble winner and that probably will be Lesnar but he probably wants to just be given the shot rather than earn it...or they might still be in negotiations and want to keep things fluid.

 

The Reigns must defend clause smells of business continuity far more than an intentional, scripted bit of excitement but they'll be hoping it works both ways.

 

Just as long as Reigns doesn't enter at number 2 and keep clearing the ring for 60 minutes. Boring.

Interestingly Triple H is now the 7/4 bookmakers favourite to win the Royal Rumble, Roman Reigns & Brock Lesnar are joint 2nd favourites at 2/1. It would be a brilliant swerve if Triple H did win the Royal Rumble I think.

I really hope this isn't the main event. I doubt anyone wants to see this finish the biggest event of the year but given the current angle with the McMahons its looking like a lock :( I'd prefer it at Fastlane instead if it has to happen!

Roman Reigns officially the #1 entrant starting the Rumble next week, knew that was coming once he was placed into the match lol I get the feeling he'll go all the way until it's between him and Lesnar with Lesnar winning as I can't exactly envisage Reigns joining Michaels & Vince in having the prostege of winning the rumble from the #1 entry :lol: although there's a slight chance it could happen!

I thought Big Show had been confirmed as number 1 in the Rumble? So he was just the first to declare he was entering? I wish these wrestling news websites would get their facts right in that case. But I assumed Reigns would be number 2 anyway. That's nicely unoriginal from the WWE once again.

 

What this means is that Reigns will be there the whole way through and will probably keep clearing the ring just so he gets a few rest breaks. I really wish they wouldn't do this, it makes the 30 man match about no more than a handful of participants in the end. At least 20 wrestlers end up being eliminated practically as soon as they enter.

Yeah they did, back in 90's. I think it was around 2000/01 that it moved to Sky Sports instead.

They showed WWF Heat on Sunday afternoons and showed 4 pay per views live, starting with the Royal Rumble in 2000. The one where there was a swimsuit contest and Mae Young took part. I think Mae flashing the audience led to a tape delay in the live pay per views on Channel 4.

According to The Wrestling Observer, former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan has been cleared to return to the ring by a UCLA neurology specialist.

 

The report notes Bryan recently underwent a battery of tests by a UCLA doctor to determine if he was fit to return to in-ring wrestling, and the doctor informed him he could.

 

As noted, Bryan has been publicly insisting for awhile now that he is ready to return to the ring, but he has yet to receive medical clearance from WWE.
