August 30, 201312 yr The 1975 down only 1 place from wednesday to friday. ^_^ Hopefully Sex will be top 30 on sunday then. :D
August 30, 201312 yr Come on Naughty Boy! Would much rather see an album that we'll actually remember down the line grab the #1. The idea that an album by a flavour of the month rapper will be more remembered years down the line than an album by one of the biggest bands in metal, who you will only hear of even more over the next 20 years, truly tickles my funny bone.

The idea that Naughty Boy is a rapper truly tickles MY funny bone.
August 30, 201312 yr the idea that A7X will stay around for the next 20 years is more laughable :D they've already started to make the same album and people will start getting bored at some point however I do go with A7X on this debate because anything associated with Sande is probably boring and lacking imagination but will sell millions of copies when it gets played on X-Factor
August 30, 201312 yr There seem to be a lot of people commenting on Naughty Boy without actually knowing what kind of music he makes.
August 30, 201312 yr Although it's nice to see Bastille in the top 40 atm, it is BLINDINGLY obvious they'll end up at #41 by Sunday
August 30, 201312 yr There seem to be a lot of people commenting on Naughty Boy without actually knowing what kind of music he makes. All I need to know is that he makes an awful lot of it with Emeli Sande, which is definitely not for me.
August 30, 201312 yr Avenged Sevenfold are like MASSIVE in the metal scene, so Naughty Boy not knocking them off isn't that surprising when you think of it like that. Also, I'm not really comfortable with people labelling opinions on music without hearing the music in question.
August 30, 201312 yr Avicii's chart run is amazing 1-1-1-2-2-2-2 if it remains at #2 for a 4th week, surprisingly he could have had 7 weeks at #1 :o So could 'Moves LIke Jagger'........ Edited August 30, 201312 yr by Col1967
August 30, 201312 yr I'm just laughing at Griff talking about metal. But it is true, outside of Capital A7X are a bigger deal. Next to debate: Slipknot vs Calvin Harris
August 30, 201312 yr So could 'Moves LIke Jagger'........ So could literally any song if you 'take away' enough of the songs above it in 7 weeks.
August 30, 201312 yr So could literally any song if you 'take away' enough of the songs above it in 7 weeks. It's a bit different when talking about the chart run for 'Wake Me Up!' and a song which went 1-4-8-15-21-28-37 though.
August 30, 201312 yr So could literally any song if you 'take away' enough of the songs above it in 7 weeks. #Beautiful could've had 7 weeks at #1 if you take away the following amounts of songs from above it in its first seven weeks: 38, 26, 23, 23, 23, 22 and 21. :)
August 30, 201312 yr #Beautiful could've had 7 weeks at #1 if you take away the following amounts of songs from above it in its first seven weeks: 38, 26, 23, 23, 23, 22 and 21. :) ~hit of the century~ it basically WAS #1 those weeks

Moves Like Jagger was actually not a bad example though. Bray and Joseph know this, but they don't like to recognize any achievement of Maroon 5's whatsoever and so choose to scoff simply because they know their faves could never.
August 30, 201312 yr But Moves Like Jagger wasn't REALLY a good example because it excluded six songs, which is a pretty big number in terms of particular songs tbh. Wake Me Up only excluded two. Edited August 30, 201312 yr by Tommy G
