The 'Flash Vote' has been revealed:

Once every contestant has performed, voting lines will open for ten minutes, giving viewers the opportunity to save their favourite act from the bottom two. After lines have closed and the votes have been counted and verified, the contestant with the lowest number of votes will be revealed and told that they face the sing-off the following night.

The lines for the rest of the contestants will then reopen until Sunday and then it will be revealed who will take part in the sing off.

Hoping this twist pays off, but it could be a right fuck up. :(

I think it will probably work in favour of the acts with a more 'rabid' fanbase (tends to be the boybands...) who'll vote incessantly, straight away etc. - whereas those who'll pick up more casual votes might struggle and be bottom 2 no matter how good they are. Could be good though.
I don't understand, though... Does this eliminate deadlock when the judges vote now, or will they keep that with full knowledge of who has the lowest votes and would therefore be out? (sounds shit)

That would be completely biased towards the one who was bottom 2 off the back of the flash vote surely? But they can't avoid deadlock, with four judges... Maybe this is where Simon comes in, he gets the casting vote via satellite link or something?

It's flawed even more-so than just going to deadlock... The judges can easily just vote to send a contestant home because they don't believe they're popular with the public. They'd have been better keeping it as it was. :(

Those three girls would be perfect (as much as I loathe Abi she'll do as Relley was never gonna make it). Hannah is the strongest there for me and Tamera has basically every ingredient to be spectacular. Strong category as I'm sure Abi has her fans too.

Hopefully Melanie hasn't made it. Very little charisma compared to the rest and an annoying face :(

I do hope that is a lie and Abi gets left out.

(I'm going to keep trying to convince myself until the very last second, ok)

We can only hope :( (make it happen SOMEONE)

It is the right top 3 to take through tactically though. as much as i dont like Abi she's clearly going to make it at least as far as the quarter finals, Hannah's too good to leave but probs wont make it that far, and Tamera's already won the whole thing as far as i'm concerned.

Completely agreed. Even though 'the favourites don't win', I really really can't see anyone challenging Tamera - I can really see her being an Alexandra type winner, where the outcome becomes more and more obvious as the show goes on.

The only person I can see coming remotely close to stealing the win from Tamera (if that final 12 is true) is Sam Callahan. I wouldn't be shy to put money on both of them being in the final.

Busy couple of days. Shattered. Going to see my pals band tonight though! Should be good :)

"Busy couple of days. Shattered." PLEASE be the case that you are actually through to live shows *.*

Hopefully not for me! Coming back with a weaker performance/charisma than last year especially up against much stronger competition does not warrant a place in the lives no matter how persistent she's proven herself to be.

I don't find Tamera to be as likeable as the likes of Hannah and some of the others though. Personally, I think she'll go more like Alexandra Burke if she does go on to win. More of a dark horse than a front runner.

When are the Finalists meant to move into the house / prepare for the live shows?

They've already started preparing, apparently, and I think they're moving into the house next week. ^_^

I just really hope Jade and Luke aren't there they are the main 2 I just don't want to see, Luke is dire and a mess. And Jade just has no personality or charisma what so ever.
