September 12, 201311 yr White Noise is the worst song on that list (besides Dear Darling but that's in a whole other league of awfull)
September 12, 201311 yr White Noise please, but what's the chances of Popjustice picking a credible winner when they have Girls Aloud and MKS? :(
September 12, 201311 yr It doesn't actually matter whether the song they pick is "credible" or not though.
September 12, 201311 yr I actually really like all these songs - aside from Candy which is abysmal. DNA would definitely be my choice though  Gentleman is a pretty odd inclusion, What About Us is admittedly so much better. White Noise please, but what's the chances of Popjustice picking a credible winner when they have Girls Aloud and MKS? :( It's not as if Disclosure are going to be losing to Pixie Lott or Justin Bieber is it? :/
September 12, 201311 yr White Noise please, but what's the chances of Popjustice picking a credible winner when they have Girls Aloud and MKS? :( I know commercial success seems to be evading them, but the widespread critical acclaim MKS have received surely indicates they're a credible act?
September 12, 201311 yr Let's not taint MKS by what Brand Suga morphed into. Even as 14 year olds they were seen as a credible act flying in the face of the likes of S Club 7. I do hope Flatline wins this, if only to make up for the years that GA walked away with it despite having heavily inferior songs to, well the rest of the shortlist. (They happen to be the worst thing on the list once more, shock and horror)
September 12, 201311 yr White Noise please, but what's the chances of Popjustice picking a credible winner when they have Girls Aloud and MKS? :( Both of those acts are entirely credible, critically acclaimed acts. Anyway, I really don't know what the point of this list is anymore. It was maybe fun for a few years but honestly even if this was an award ceremony with any kind of WEIGHT, who cares about who wins when stuff like 'Gentleman' is considered? :manson:
September 12, 201311 yr SHOCKED at how many of these I kinda like: CHVRCHES - "The Mother We Share" Disclosure ft. AlunaGeorge - "White Noise" Duke Dumont ft. A*M*E - "Need U (100%)" Little Mix - "DNA" Mutya Keisha Siobhan - "Flatline" Olly Murs - "Dear Darlin'" Petula Clarke - "Cut Copy Me" VV Brown - "The Apple" CHVRCHES, Disclosure or MKS to win though.
October 30, 201311 yr Kicked out so far, in order: - Petula Clark - Mutya Keisha Siobhan - Disclosure - Olly Murs - One Direction - Robbie Williams My flatmate and several of my friends are there, so I'm keeping an eye on it all. (But I wasn't selected. I'm not bitter.)
October 30, 201311 yr CHVRCHES, Duke Dumont and The Sats left (so basically, we're good as long as Gentleman doesn't win ^.^)
October 30, 201311 yr According to Twitter, CHVRCHES, Duke Dumont and The Saturdays are left. Girls Aloud were beaten by Little Mix who in turn were beaten by CHVRCHES. Don't know how Gentleman is still there but it might just be a similar situation to Power and Control last year. EDIT: Beaten by Seven  Edited October 30, 201311 yr by Rabbit Heart
October 30, 201311 yr CHRVCHES to win now please. (I'm still seething just a little with how they put White Noise up against Something New so early, could such an average song GET more internet hype? Very surprised it didn't win, so just thankful for that) The other two wouldn't be bad at all though.
October 30, 201311 yr CHVRCHES to win please. 'Need U' really shouldn't have got 3rd :puke: (Oh and Saturdays shouldn't be top 3 with this song either :\)
October 30, 201311 yr LOL at 'Gentleman' still in there. Although they could use the £20 to fully cover the costs of shooting that music video :o
