Are Cyndi Lauper & Alanis Morissette eligible for this list? I know they most likely charted high for at least one week with subsequent releases but generally they are viewed as only having one successful album...

True colors sold 3 million worldwide. It might not have done as well as she's so unusual, but 3 million sales is a hot record

Can't help but notice that Duffy, Basshunter, and the Ting Tings were all in 2008. What was it about that year?

Alphabeat was 2008 too :drama: So unfair!

Mika seems like another good example, at least in terms of UK success, but it depends on what his second album has sold.

2008 was a pretty good year for music. I know the charts were slow but at least the songs were good....

Don't like to admit it but Melanie C could possibly fit into this argument
Alexandra Burke could fit here, we all know the deal with Heartbreak On Hold. Also, Pixie Lott scraped past 100k with Young Foolish Happy in the end but that was still nothing compared to Turn It Up's sales.
I get it from the sales point of view BUT what springs to mind for me is Stripped by Christina Aguilera. It's brilliant, captured her moment at the right time and I will never need another album from her. Plus, no other sales have got anywhere close (plus she's moved into telly again now anyway).
Two of my faves probably belong in here. Hanson and Orson. Hanson have some mega good albums though :(
Sorry but to include Christina here is ridiculous.

No it's not - she only had one mege selling album The others were flops or mediocre at best sales wise.

I'm pretty sure both the debut and Back To Basics sold well, obviously compared to Stripped it doesn't look as good but she's hardly a "one album wonder".

OMG AT CHRISTINA BEING MENTIONED. Her first three albums did extremely well, and all spanned multiple hits off them. You are excused.

Journey South -

2006 - Journey South #1

2007 - Home #43

Steve Brookstein -

2005 - Heart & Soul #1

LOL but I stand by her as being a one album wonder :teresa: . Column inches and feature vocals on singles don't count

But if we include mega selling albums only as hits, to the shock of this forum, the Saturdays have never had a hit album :o
