Catching up: > Would never, ever have expected 'Strong' to climb in its second week even with the album release - so so happy to see it though, quickly becoming one of my favourite songs of the year. > Fab to see 'Do I Wanna Know?' at its second highest position ever, done unbelievably well for them and deservedly, think I can now say it's my favourite from them! > #13 is an OKAY peak for the new Example song considering it seems to have zero hype around it, not good by any means but at least it's a hell of a lot higher than 'Close Enemies' got. > 'Atlas' is actually far better than expected on first listen after everyone seemed to be calling it average. With a few more listens it could grow into another fab single from them. Shame it fell out of the top 10 but it is just a soundtrack single so still done respectably enough. > GWON EARTHQUAKE > 'Same Love' finally a top 10 hit :wub: I see it's dropped back out of the iTunes top 10 for now but still sure it'll go top 5 eventually. Even if it doesn't though, top 10 is still great for a song released some time after their album. *phew*

September 15, 201312 yr From what I've heard of them, I'd call the Strypes a blues-rock band - they're obviously influenced by people like the Yardbirds, Pretty Things, early Stones etc and those were all considered blues at the time.
