It looks very scary over there Mr Big, I hope you & your family are safe :(

Here is a piece from our Irish weather online showing a map of that area https://www.facebook.com/IrishWeatherOnline...e=3&theater

I was just wondering how you were earlier today Biggy. Hope you and your family are safe as well.

We're about as ready/safe as we can get....luckily we don't have to evacuate at this point, as we're in the second-to-last bunch to evacuate due to storm surge....me girlfriend's with her family in Georgia waiting out the hurricane...

We've got no idea in this country about weather - I know I complain every time it rains but compared to the rest of the world we have nothing to moan about.

I hope everybody there remains safe and the damage is minimal.

I went to see the Pink Floyd exhibition at V & A this afternoon with my hubby.

It was really good - I loved the idea of going around with their music in my ears. It was packed too with really long queues to get in.

My favourite bit was the quiet room - all in darkness except for this:

My husband came away with a T shirt, the double live CD and a poster.

I wonder these last years what happened to the world, the worst politicians in years, the climate change, terrorist attacks, I never thought this coming. Men should have learned from the past, but with all technology, the social creature we are has not changed

Hope all is ok Mr B, it all looks mighty scary from over here , that continuous bombarding of winds must be doing fierce damage & the high water levels must be bringing some unwanted wildlife into residential areas :(

Did you like the bit at the very end Laura where everyone sat or lay down in the room ,

I enjoyed the exhibition , it was extensive & well put together

Glad Hubby got the compulsory T-shirt :P

They 'talk'about climate change all the time bit they do little about it. You only have to look at the big icebergs which are melting so fast which is resulting in rising sea levels to see that something is happening worldwide

I look at those missile tests in N Korea , that cannot be good for the atmosphere , the same with the amount air traffic in our skies , all that fuel emmisions going into the air ..

How about "Robbie Williams - Living his life thru a lens"?

Have you had any more ideas on this

Can we pick a photo & a caption

We also need to get the 'latest artist news' changed as the headlines are old news

9/11 Anniversary today , the memories always make me shudder . I had a day off work the day it happened & remember being down town & seeing people standing around a shop window watching the horrific events unfolding on tv , I remember thinking it was a movie until I realised it was all too real, what a horrible day

I'm happy to go with the first photo and this if everyone else is happy?

I guess latest news will be UTR 2 and Reveal. :)

What do we have to do next? Let Cameron/Jade know?

Yes Cameron/Jade are the mods . I think they will have to ask Joseph to make a banner for us , I am not too sure what happens

The pinned items also need tidying up as we have duplications, eg' HES is pinned at the top but we are posting further down

Can that be sorted out Cameron/Jade !!

Thanks

Sending my good wished to Mr B & family  , not getting a good time in Tampa with this hurricane it would seem

I too will join in the good wishes to Mr. B.

As for the 9/11 anniversary, I remember volunteering at a museum preparing to send some packs out. I remember finding it hard to believe when the head of the department came through with the news. Watched the news later that day and it sank in that it was real. Thoughts are also with the families of the victims and anyone else who suffered as a result of this incident.

Yes hopefully Bigwiglaf and his family are fine.

As to how I heard about 9/11 it was my dad that told me that something had happened in New York, such a tragic day :(

Oh my goodness you are using the first photo with the tree, please don't censor it though as it wouldn't be as iconic censored!

No the first photo in a white t shirt . ^_^

Why not the iconic one with him in a tree? I thought that one was better. I liked the tree and the nice branches of the tree.
