I would say 'Something Really Bad' has done about what I expected and 'The Fifth' has done slightly better than I expected, albeit still quite poorly.

This might sound pretty silly, but why does Fuse ODG feat. Elephant Man  and there is another different featured act if I remember rightly. MW seem to have included him on the credit of the single.

Bray might know the answer to this.

The Vamps have gone into overdrive on Twitter trying to get people to buy all the different versions even promising to get tattoo's and one of them is going to show his backside.

Actually hoping One Republic pips them to the post.

I prefer Can We Dance to Counting Stars but the whole campaign for the former just smells of desperation so it would be quite funny to see it miss out. Plus from a chart/longevity perspective Counting Stars "deserves" the #1 more than The Vamps.

It would also be funny to see them actually make it, as surely they'd have the biggest dive from #1 in years (I think Helping Haiti are the only #1 act to have a larger drop than 1-6 in this decade so far and that was a charity release (ftr it dropped 1-9, but it did spend 2 weeks at #1))

Elephant Man is featured on an official remix of 'Azonto' which was released this week alongside the original version. It's not the 'main' version of the song though. Similar to 2 Chainz being credited on Robin Thicke's 'Give It 2 U' when he only features on a remix of it.

The other featured artist on 'Azonto' is Itz Tiffany who was credited on the song's original release but doesn't seem to be on the re-release, despite her vocals still being on the song...

aha... thanks for that as I was planning not to add the credit to my chart database.

If the Vamps are going crazy on Twitter (cough desperate cough) OneRepublic might not be able to overtake... Then again, maybe them begging for sales won't have much effect, as everybody who cared enough to buy multiple versions just to help them get to number 1 will have done it already. It's going to be so close on Sunday

*Leaves to buy Counting Stars*

Not actually convinced The Vamps are going to have that enormous a second week drop now, all their multiple versions dropped out very quickly but the top version seems to be sticking around, still at #5 on iTunes.

It may be #5 on iTunes now but it'll get pushed down to #9 by Miley, Conor, Eminem and John next week. So yeah it probably won't beat Helping Haiti's 'record' but it could match it.

Unfortunately that theory doesn't account for the popularity of Rod Stewart's album... :P

I'd say most of his albums are still physical though, would love to see the break down of Cd:downloads!
