Weird - no top 10's ever, then probably two #1's in a row - has that ever happened before (say for someone who's had more than 5 previous hits)?

DJ Fresh had a string of low top 75 singles in the middle of the 2000s then vanished for a few years before getting his first top 40 with 'Gold Dust' and then 2 #1s in a row.

I was going to suggest Slade but I forgot 'Look What You Dun' only got to 4 in between their first two Number Ones.

From the same era though, Rod Stewart as a solo artist had released at least five flop singles before he topped the chart with his first two solo hits.

Pretty decent chart nobodys really underperforming. The Sats are lucky to get a top 10, as it John Newman tbh
I hope the Saturdays will hold on in the top-5, it's a very decent song and they needed to open the album with a hit single.
#190 Vampire Weekend - Step

Rather surprising to see the band in the iTunes top 200. Would love this to be a hit, but I doubt it'll even make the top 100 on iTunes.

I'd buy it again if I could. Step is a wonderful song

The Saturdays should've released the album after "What About Us" (released in late Summer) instead - "Disco Love" is so 'meh'.

01. Miley Cyrus - Wrecking Ball 100%

05. The Saturdays - Disco Love 56% (+1.6%)

Are most of you serious? That's one of the best Top 10s of the year in my opinion. I even like the Saturdays song. The only one I wouldn't listen to is JOHN MOTHERf***ING NEWMAN
I don't like it either, I like the top 10 though
Very surprised Sats are top 10 after Gentlemen :o thought that would have killed their career 911 style.
Only 4% away from taking over #4 or even #3
I'm so f***ing glad this proved everyone wrong!! Turbine of their best clearly when top 3/4 is looking likely with no radio promo!!
