I'm assuming she'll perform "Applause" then the 2nd single. Would make sense and would be nice for "Applause" to get a few more sales. ^_^

I'm thinking she's gonna do 'Do What U Want' stripped back and then 'Applause' or 'Venus' with the full works!
Hope we get to hear Applause. Not sure it will give it enough of a boost to go Top 10 again though. :(

Gaga pushing two new songs? I reckon it'll be "Applause" and one another, just my gut feeling.

Applause will be a classic regardless of current sales in a few years anyway.

She can focus on the two new ones, but Venus looks like t'll be terrible. I was so glad when she made a sensible decision and switched to the no.1 smash.

It's like she thinks we want typical GaGa songs like Venus when the opposite is true.

How will Applause be a classic in years to come when it's not even a classic now?

Just Dance was #1 4 years ago yet no one hears that anymore. Applause doesn't stand a chance, longevity wise.

As many people's biggest or most remembered hits did not chart particularly well.

Rihanna - Umbrella

Whitney Houston - I will always love you

Spice Girls - Wannabe

Robbie Williams - Angels

"If I Were A Boy" is Beyonce's biggest UK seller but she's not remembered for that.

Biggest selling, but not her biggest hit Crazy in love is. If Crazy had been released in the sales climate we have now, no doubt it would be her biggest selling.

That is completely wrong.

There are many, many artists (can't think of examples right this second) who have classic hits that never even made it into the top 20 or top 30.

Also, GaGA needs to perform anything else tonight. She will become a laughing stock if she performs something as bad and weird as Venus.

Edited by Michael!

Maybe, but very very few of those who have had massive hits are remembered for lower ones.

Wonder if we could get an Elton John appearance for the final to promote his album?

He's also dueting with Gary on GB's second single so could be possible..

I agree that 'Applause' has never been or never will be a classic, but I hear 'Just Dance' a lot on the TV, probably more than 'Poker Face' and 'Bad Romance' put together!

Apparently that's been confirmed, but it was only after Sharon "persuaded" him.

Great news! So performing a song off the album and the duet with Gary

Umbrella isn't rihanna's biggest selling hit I believe, it was only number one for ten weeks because of how shit sales were back then

Hopefully not a duet with Gary. We can do without him performing.
