You're making out as if it's some massive flop. Many promo singles don't have any sort of longevity, and it's not been promoted by her yet or had too much airplay, so how on earth is it meant to keep selling? The same goes for Justin's #MusicMondays, he doesn't promote them outside of posting a little about them on Twitter and they don't get airplay so they're not gonna sell to anyone outside of his fanbase, cause no-one else knows they exist...

Well at the start of the week everyone (Twitter) was hailing this as the big massive comeback and proof she was the undisputed queen etcetc now funnily enough everyone has gone silent.

Well clearly, 'everyone' has now bought it and it's falling down the charts because no-one outside the fanbase knows it exists yet.

AWALNATION - Sail  #48. I wonder if this could go Top 40 next week? Depends on how it holds up against the new releases I suppose.
Hasn't this 'Sail' song been around for years? I definitely remember hearing it when I very first started uni back in 2011.

Yes it has been around since about 2011. Not sure why it's suddenly becoming popular. I prefer 'It's Not Your Fault' personally. It would be good if it could get Top 40 in the coming weeks. :)

On an off-topic note, where *is* everyone today? I see only 2 threads that've been posted to in the last 8 hours?

You clearly don't look outside of the UK chart forum then :P

But your point still stands though, the forum normally isn't very active on a Saturday afternoon because nothing really happens then. It should be more normal in the evening when X Factor is on.

Ok, so chall need to recognise ok.

Her smashing no.1 with no promo is amazing, shows people took to it immediately. It's going to be massive when promoted properly.

I am hoping for a miracle that Fatboy Slim can get to number 1 but its not even top 50 on pre orders but as long as it goes top 3 ill be ok with that!

Given that I thought ESRR would be a guaranteed number 1, I'm going to risk it and say that, providing no OA/OS comebacks get released, I think Martin Garrix will get to number one maybe with 100k+ sales

I really don't know how well the track is going to do, but I just feel the track will get to #1 on low sales personally I hate it, there is nothing else that could get there apart from Lorde having a second week on very low sales.
