Only 30k of sales to gain over the biggest boyband in the world in 4 days. As much as ill be praying for him to get to number one, I'm also realistic :P

And we could be looking at 6 new entries in the top 10, just depends how fast the Wanted and probably Foxes drop as she is top 5 in the official chart.

 40. Story Of My Life - One Direction

 42. Royals - Lorde

Not long before Lorde's 2nd version is higher than 1D's then. Yay.

Why the sudden resurgence for 'Loving You'?

Why the sudden resurgence for 'Loving You'?

Matt's album has just been released.

Hmm. From the little I've heard of both songs, Eminem/Rihanna should be at #1. The One Direction song is really boring, maybe their worst so far. Rihanna needs to extend her "#1 every year" accolade.

Why the sudden resurgence for 'Loving You'?

I just finished sending my blackmail notes to people.

Anyway, Fatboy Slim and Tinie Tempah deserve to be #1 out of all of the new entries this week.

His TV advert for his album is basically an advert for 'Loving you'.

How do they " deserve " to be number one?

They deserve it more in my opinion because I prefer the songs.

Well to be fair the record labels know the rules so they make the choice as to whether to have "hits" or not. By making them stand alone releases Eminem and Justin Bieber can have a new "single" every week whilst Gaga can't. So if anyone is to blame for her NOT being able to chart with tracks then its the record company. :D

Exactly. Totally the record companies fault because the rules are quite clear - seems to be back-firing all this hyping up releases as album sales remain at record lows and falling.

Am I right in thinking that in the long-run the sales will count, even though the chart positions during the time of the album pre order don't?

I would assume the stand alone purchases would eventually be counted but not any "instant grat" "purchases"

YES that's so true, Eminem and Rihanna need to be #1 so she can break her own record of having number ones in consecutive years

2007 - Umbrella

2008 - Take A Bow

2009 - Run This Town

2010 - Only Girl (In The World)

2011 - What's My Name/We Found Love

2012 - Diamonds

2013 - THE MONSTER!!

How many years did Elvis and The Beatles get?

1 One Direction - Story Of My Life 1.0000

2 Eminem - The Monster (feat. Rihanna) 0.9280

Eminem and Rihanna should be #1 soon hopefully!

Maybe a day earlier and they could have done it... :(
